Based on recent customer reviews, Maria Jewellery receives overwhelmingly negative feedback. Customers consistently report being misled by a website presenting the business as a local Cape Town family jeweller holding a closing-down sale, when products actually ship from China. Reviewers describe receiving cheap, low-quality items that look nothing like advertised photos. Delivery issues are widespread, with invalid tracking numbers, long delays, and parcels sent to wrong cities. Refund requests are reportedly ignored or met with evasive responses, and the prohibitive return shipping costs leave customers feeling trapped.

Oh dear, I too should have checked Hello Peter before purchasing. Purchased a ring, received tracking number, then got told the parcel did not arrive and they were going to refund me. Followed up several times and keep being assured that I will get refunded, but to no avail. I think the only way any of us will achieve anything here is to open cases of ***** against them.

Absolute ****. False advertising. I ordered a ring that took forever to arrive. It does not look anything like the picture. Come direct from China not from the lovely couple who make jewelry and are closing their business in Cappe Town. Site should be taken down.

I too was ****med by the so called closing business in Camps Bay. Bought and paid, they said it will take between 5 and 14 days to arrive. I followed up constantly and a month later, the so called package was delivered. No one knows which company it was delivered to and some lady named Sandra signed for it. Now, the courier company wont take responsibility and Maria Jewellery dont know their ass from their elbow, cause "its not their fault"? According to them it was delivered and that's it. What to do, what to do..... If I could give no stars, I would, how can people be so unhelpful and take people's money without giving it a second thought? I hope this issue is resolved and I get the ring I paid for.

The worst online experience ever. I wished i checked Maria Jewlery before I Ordered a silver ring (R600) on June20th, which I am yet to receive (30/07), they send you a courier tracking number and you see that it has been delivered after so long to Johannesburg, I live in Cape Town ... No body follows on my emails or replies to my numerous requests for Refunds ... Terrible company. Do not purchase from them, they are ****mers. DO NOT PURHASE FROM THIS COMPANY - *****s

I went to Courier Guy to return the ring I bought from them. They need an invoice to get a quote as to the cost to return the parcel. They estimated that it will cost R550 to return the parcel. Now I have paid R600 for the R29 ring and will most probably not receive my money back as Maria Jewelry really cheated me on this one. I am writing a glowing report for heron all platforms possible and I am considering contacting a lawyer. Companies like this one put all online shopping in a bad light. Lying and cheating honest people out of hard earned money. She should be ashamed.

I had the worst exsperience with this company , pretending to be a south african based company family owned in Cape Town . The jewelers doesn't look like the pictures is cheap plastic and metal not silver and cheap looking. jewelers took 3 weeks to get here and arrived with buffalo couriers and the jewelry come from a cheap factory in China They spray things saying its gold and when you want to return they make impossible to return as it cost 3 times to send back as a individual . Then they only give you 30 present back I have lost alot of money due to this companies **** and false advertising .

Such a pity I did not check here before ordering! Purchased a ring for my daughter - she wore it for one full day and then it broke. **** quality, claiming to deliver from the Cape, but item is shipped from China. You pay way too much for what you get

Warning: Possible **** – Do Not Trust This Seller I came across this jewellery store via a Facebook ad promoting a closing-down sale, supposedly based in Camps Bay, Cape Town. I purchased a ring for R565.00 and received a tracking number from "Buffulo Couriers" (misspelled), but after more than a week, the courier confirmed the tracking number is invalid and that I must follow up with the sender directly. I reached out via the contact details listed on their website and received responses that seem evasive and scripted—classic red flags. Despite raising legitimate concerns about the non-delivery of the product, I was hit with dismissive references to their "privacy policy" and "refund policy," which conveniently ignore the core issue: no product was ever shipped, and the website appears to be ****. This operation seems designed to mislead and ***** from well-meaning customers. I’m sharing this to protect others—please avoid this company and report any suspicious activity.
