My husband and I have sold a property which we own in an Eco Estate. When a person purchases property in this estate, they a liable to pay a R5000 game fee and a R5000 electricity fee however, Martinique are now charging us as the seller, this fee plus an additional R500 for some obscure and unmentioned interest. It is my perception that they are either trying to delay providing my conveyancing attorneys with a clearance certificate as i) they are trying to **** more interest out of us, due to the fact that we are behind in our monthly levy payments for which they are charging us a monthly interest, ii) they are trying to **** us with the game and electricity levy or iii) they are just plain stupid and don't know what the hell they are doing. This is not the first time that they have dealt with a transfer in this eco estate, so I am more inclined to think that they are trying to **** us with the game and electricity levy as well as trying to **** us with additional interest on our outstanding levies. Needless to say, I have now reported them and their ******* practices to the National Association of Managing Agents.

If your estate is thinking of changing to Martinique for your sanity and sake kindly vote against it to save yourself the problem of having to deal with Leon as if he is doing you a favour when it's actually his job and gets paid for it. The worst managing agent ever. Leon is a rude, disrespectful, demeaning and rude person. He lacks professionalism and is the worst person that they hired for his role. They need to hire professional people who aren't emotional in their responses. He is an awful human being who needs to learn how to respect people, actually he is an awful person who enjoys being mean to other people. Martinique should be ashamed that they have someone like that representing them.

Bull**** of a company! Lago complex situated in Centurion, went to visit a friend and saw that they exit gate was not in "function". The manned security guard was allowing cars to exit the complex by using his remote. (Remember the entrance gate of the complex is being used for exit as well) so the security guard asks me to proceed and guess what? The gate starts closing on my car, it caused damage to my car yet Martinique and Lago does not want to accept responsibility. Received an email from Michael Pirre who just said they won't sort any damages out without any reason or justification. I won't be leaving the matter, and people should know what kind of a company Martinique is including Lago! Terrible wouldn't recommend anyone to even go and buy/rent there.

This is part of a response "Kindly refrain from expressing opinions that are unsupported by facts. I do believe that your opinions are FALSE and inappropriate. " that I received from Leon Van Zijl, As a manager he clearly does not know how to address customers and he also does not have any professional artier, I simply requested that hey assist with a high bill and he reacted with the above My bills have been always 300-400 units in the past and now all the sudden the last 2 months it has doubled and they still can not properly explain why this has happened To avoid the High bills I have disabled my Stove and Oven and installed a gas stove, I have installed a gas Heater and removed all electrical ones but still the bill is double If this is what kind of support and assistance we get from Martinique then they should not be supporting the public

These guys will rip you off!! They make mistakes and then they will charge you for it. They will send you a incorrect bill and if you don't pay it they cut your power and then charge you to reconnect. Also don't even take the time to chat to their GM Leon, he will just threaten you with fine print. If you see these guys are managing a unit do not rent in that complex it will end in tears!!!!!
