I've been buying from Burchmore for a long time and im happy to say that all the vehicles I've purchased from them had no issues

Extremely hard to get your deposit back
It is an extreme struggle to get the deposit back. The delay is unbelievable. I am getting into the third week fighting and waiting to get my deposit back. Sign up for the auction if you are willing to do the long wait for your deposit refund.

I will never buy another Bidvest Burchmore vehicle due to their constant spamming
I bought a vehicle in May 2024 from Bidvest Burchmore's and a week later they started inundating me with spam SMS's which has continued for a year and still goes on. I asked them to cancel sending me info online and they agreed to do it. In November 2024 I went to their office to complain and they apologised and said they would cancel my number immediately. They did not do that. I block every number on my phone but their AI system uses multiple numbers so I continually get spam messages about upcoming auctions. I have more than 30 numbers that are not included in this note. This is obviously an AI BOT that notes I have blocked their number and then just moves on to the next number available to them in their system. I assume they are doing this to all previous clients that logged in to their site initially. I have sent a complaint to POPIA and hope they will do something about this. Lastly, I will NEVER BUY ANOTHER BURCHMORE VEHICLE and I'm sure other previous clients feel the same way, so this spamming has backfired terribly on them. Stupid...stupid...stupid!!!

BAD SERVICE!!!!!!!!AND BAD CARS!!!!
I DONT THINK THEY CAN EVEN BE RATED ONE STAR!!! SERVICE IS BAD WE BOUGHT A CAR VERY EXPENSIVE -ONLY TO FIND MANY DEFECTS ON THE CAR AFTER A WEEK!!!! WE CONTACTED THEM AND WAS TOLD THAT THE T&C'S STATE CARS ARE BOUGHT AS IS.. SO YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY GOES DOWN THE DRAIN AS THEY DO NOT TAKE RESPONSIBITLY FOR ANY MAJOR ISSUES- I HAVE SPENT OVER 20K TO TRY AND FIX THE CAR BUT TO NO AVAIL!!!! THEY NEED TO BE REPORTED SOMEWHERE. VERY UNHAPPY CLIENT WILL TELL EVERYONE ABOUT THEM.

Bunch of ******* they ***** your deposits
I read all the reviews and this seems to be a common problem that people do not get their deposits back and I also noticed that this company does not response to reviews. But I putting it here so nobody else goes through this experience. I went to an auction swiped my card and paid R8000 deposit, did not see a car I liked went back for deposit refund and the lady said that it needs to be done online. I did it the next morning and apparently credit card payments are made immediately and then reflect within 7-10 days. Off course I never received it. They do not answer their phones or respond on their WhatsApp line. If you pay a deposit it as as good as gone! The manager of Durban branch Shaun never answers his phone either, they’re impossible to get ahold of. The Sandton branch also cannot get ahold of their Durban branch to try and assist to resolve. Weeks later and I still do not have the money. R8000 is a large sum and they literally don’t give a damn. Pathetic company and I truly hope they fall to their feet. But first I want my money back!
