On the 29th of January 2026 my wife went to Meadowlands clinic for her usually checkups, all to find out the clinic is not functioning. Their reason was that two of their nursing staff were not at work, what kind of an institution that doesn't function because of two staff members were absent? The problem with these township government institutions doesn't take their work seriously. My wife is diabetic she has suffered until Monday the 2nd of February 2026 to get her medication. This is my plea to gauteng department of health to monitor their clinics and hospitals.

The Old ladies that are working there have no patience with the sick, those seeking emergency assistance and those that are just looking to make an appointment to see an optometrist. On the 23rd of September 2024 I visited the clinic to schedule an appointment to see an optometrist. I sat there three hour's, whilst watching people getting turned away being told that the line has been cut due to understaffing. About thirty minutes before being assisted the "stop sign" was removed from the last client to a client who was before me. And I was told that "I had just arrived and the que was cut, they are about to knock off"🤯🤯🤯. Me and the two clients after me were dumb found and we demanded a reasonable explanation as to how is that? After a loud confrontation, we were "allowed" to get help but as soon as the client before me was captured on the system by an administrator, as I approached the help desk, the lady told me straight away that she can't help me, she's knocking off. I must wait for her colleague he will help me.🤦🏿♂️, And she was for real. She left her station 15:25 PM and walked about the clinic chatting with colleagues, modelling her good looking body for about -/+ twenty five minutes before she returned to her station to pack her things and shake her behind out the exit door, off the premises. The poor man was left to help the three of us. I walked up to the help desk and after stating why I had visited the clinic, he wrote me an appointment card and I went to see a nurse in the observation room who made an appointment for me to come see the optometrist on the 13th of October (Sunday)🤯🤯🤯. From me entering the room she wasn't looking to help me, she was in the company of her colleague that had made the blunder of looking to dismiss us after waiting three hours in line. All three employees refused to allow their names as they feared to be reprimanded for their actions, the one lady that helped me even remembered to "hide her face" when she pulled up her mask during her reluctance to help me. She argued that I need to wait five year's before I can come in for a lense replacement,😳😳, Five year's, unless they are damaged and or broken, lost. Beat that one, and she doesn't use spectacles, how could she be so misinformed 🤔?

Meadowlands zone 3 clinic needs serious attention from the municipality or government, nurses there are so rude and not helpful at all.... I don't know why people take on careers that they don't love. Am so disappointed about the service there and attitude people receive on a daily at that facility.
