MECHTECH MACHINE TOOL SPECIALISTS PATHETIC SERVICE.

Good day, I purchased a vertical machining centre from a company called MECH-TECH MACHINE TOOL SPECIALISTS also known as MECH-TECH PRECISION PTY situated in Meyerton and also in Natal in October 2020, this was after their salesman Chris Lotter had persuaded me not to purchase from another company who had the same machine I was after for a better price , I paid for it upfront as part of the agreement, I was given a 12 month written guarantee as it was a new machine along with an agreed 3 day training course. The machine was delivered in November 2020, from day one the battle started, there were issues with missing parts and the control system did not function properly, so the machine could not be used and was rendered useless. For months I was given the run around and told to be patient, when I eventually had had enough and requested a refund, I was told in no uncertain terms that that this would not happen, they would not refund me or take the machine back, and to quote the owner Manie Lombard, "we can't rub an orange ripe- you'll just have to be patient" eventually 5 months after receiving the machine it was repaired to a working condition, they then made out like they had done me a huge favor by getting it to work. They provided one and a halve days of training on the machine, but again for this to happen I had to find someone in my personal capacity to carry out the training, they have now refused to provide the final days training, their reasoning is that they have spent too much money fixing the machine, well in my opinion it should have been in a working condition from the start, why is that my problem? I am very disappointed with the bad attitude and I can't even call it service that I have received from this company, I would never recommend them to anyone and will certainly never use them again myself. With this level of service in South Africa it's no wonder we are going down the tubes!!!
