I had possibly the worse experience at Medicare Pharmacy Sunvalley today. I am 38 weeks pregnant and my feet were severely swollen. I phoned the pharmacy to see if they would be able to squeeze me in just to check my vitals to which they agreed.
I went through and when in store went to the clinic section, thanked the lady for making a plan for me to which she responded yes that’s if the sister can see you. So so unnecessary, why tell me I can come through then.
The nurse / sister then called me in, I thanked her for seeing me - no response She then asked me to complete more details on my consent form to which I asked where and she told me. Once completed, she started capturing my information on the pc and I was responding to a message on my phone, I then found her just staring at me, said sorry and asked if she needed more information as I thought she was just capturing info and then we would start. She said no you came to me so tell me, she literally hadn't even asked me anything yet how was I suppose to know her next “procedure”.
She then started not asking me but drilling my on heath questions for example asked if I take any medication to which I responded no just my pregnancy vitamins. She then asked if I took iron tablets to which I said yes that’s part of my vitamin, then proceeded to get a lecture about how vitamins and iron tablets are two different things, completely unnecessary I said sorry that I wasn’t a nurse how am I meant to know I said I take pregOmega and then all of a sudden it’s combined vitamins. I told her I really didn’t appreciate her and the other employees attitudes and she couldn’t a damn see what she had done wrong. The way they both left me feeling was completely unnecessary like I was not important enough to be seen to and that they actually didn’t care. A complete power play for doing me a favour and seeing me last minute.
An absolutely horrible experience from the get go. I definitely will not be back and I definitely will pass my experience on to others so they don’t incur the same terrible treatment.
Needless to say I walked out!
And no I’m not overreacting because I’m pregnant. I was blatantly treated badly.
