My Mother is in this frail care facility. She receives the most beautiful care, church services, physiotherapy, game days, gifts through sponsor companies. They create a WhatsApp family group and send vital information and stats twice daily in order for family far away and overseas to see and know her condition. On my visits the staff is friendly and professional. We as a family are at ease while in their care.

Medifrail's 24/7 care is useless and don't respond if you need them and so are their food. They don't gave you any options to choose food from or don't even ask if you are allergic to anything. Before staying there they promise you lot of things which is a lie.

My family and I had the worst experience with this frail care facility and their staff members. We wanted to move my Granmother to a place that had 24 hour nursing care, and after looking at a few places in and around Pretoria East, we found this place. They put on a good show, making the place look nice from the outside, making promises of services they provide. But make no mistake, from the inside this place is toxic and you would be making a huge mistake to trust them with your beloved. We moved my Granmother out of that place after only 2 months. To start off, they serve the erldery people terrible, inedible food that is always cold. In that short period of time, my granmother has lost 10 kilograms. They take photos of every single thing they do. At first you think this is great, because they are keeping you informed. But after a while you realise they use these photos to lie to the families. For example, at 6am you get a photo showing her pills have been given, when in fact that photo was old and secondly they don't watch them drink the pills. What if my gran threw those pills down the toilet afterwards, they would never know. They cannot follow simple instructions from the doctors regarding the medication that needs to be given, even though the medication is blister packed and the instructions are clearly written out inside the pack. The so-called nurses there gave my gran her morning medication the night before, they gave her strong pain medication before meals. There were days were they completely forgot about her and didnt give her her medication AT ALL. Once they even gave her medication that wasnt hers, which tells me they swopped her meds with someone elses. The nursing staff is a complete and utter joke. I wouldnt be surprised if they are completely uneducated or unqwalified. To use the word 'incompatant' wouldnt even be doing them justice. Our number one request was to help my granmother in and out of the shower, to obviously prevent her from slipping or falling. We were promised that this would happen. We had meetings about it with the manager, we requested it in person and we stipulated this on the family whatsapp group multiple times. The carers didnt help her. The worst thing that could of ever happened, happened. SHE FELL. Exactly what we were trying to prevent. If the staff werent so terribly lazy and just did their jobs properly, this would of never happened. My 85 year old Granmother layed on the bathroom floor, after hitting her head and bleeding profusely, she couldnt get up, she couldnt call for help, she couldnt reach the panic button. A cleaning lady came into the room and found her and finally helped her up. The nurses didnt even bother to call the family to inform us of what had happened! My granmother fell between 8 and 9 am. The doctor was only called at 1pm and arrived just after 2pm. The managers dont even bother on reading or responding to your messages about the well being of your beloved. We went to fetch my granmother and all her belongings, and informed them that she will not be returning. They even had the audacity to tell us that we still owe them rent in advance. Its not like we were asking for these services for free, we were in fact paying for them. We didnt even get an apology out of them!

I was appointed as curator for a patient. We had to pay 2 months rent in advance when we placed the patient in the care of Medifrail Centurion Pretoria. The client was one day in the Medifrail Centre when he passed away. He passed away a year ago and since that day we are trying to get a refund for the one month that we had paid in advance. The person in charge is Dirk with number 0619355125. He doesn't answer his phone. How on earth will you be able to contact them if they do not answer their phone. I have tried everything to get a refund without success. They do not answer any call or email.
