I recently made a purchase on AliExpress for R220.00 and this was the designated logistics company used to my shock I recieved a message requesting me to pay R260 for taxes and customs, I asked to explain and breaks this down to me as to how this is possible for tax to be more than actual purchase and they have not responded back ever since I told them I won't pay that amount and now refuse to return the package to seller so that I can be refunded

Everyone Who Has Been ****** By These ****mers Meili Logistics I Urge You To Please Speak Out Coz What They Do Is Hold Our Orders For Ransom asking us to pay penalties that are even high than the order Please Take Screenshots Of Your Conversation With Them And Also Take Screenshots of their ratings here on hellopeter and make complain with proof about their extra charges and send them to Aliexpress ,Shein etc...coz they have been doing this for many years i already done that with Aliexpress don't just give them bad reviews report this it's been going on for so many years it's time for us to speak out and stop these ****mers thank you

I have been ordering from Shein and Temu multiple times. Now for whatever reason, somewhere along the line, Meili Logistics has stepped in. They're an absolute ****. Holding on to parcels until you pay more and more. How theyre still continuing when it's evident that so many have had issues is beyond me!

Ordered an item from Aliexpress, the items was shipped and I was updated on progress until the item arrived in JHB and was handled by Meili Logistics. The duty taxes cost more that the item purchased. Clarity was provided in the form of proof of payment records for the item and to Meili. I also sent a screenshot of the "item" purchased but they kept asking for a "list of imported item". On many occasions the phone would ring unanswered when conducting queries. Very unprofessional. I was told I was liable for a penalty for misdeclaration of goods and when I asked them to specify how I mis declared the goods and provide me with the relevant prescripts in this regard, they were unable to. Very unprofessional!!!!

The company **** their customers by inflating their import fees and when pressed change those import fees to cover up their previous attempt to ****** their customers. They have a dishonest revenue system that attempts to cover it's own tracks and when pressed they will make an attempt to hide their changes by keeping their payment system online so if you come into the transaction unaware that you are getting cheated which you cannot do since you cannot select importer they will attempt to overcharge you so unless you are aware of this up front you can't prove that they are doing this unless you happen to screenshot or take down evidence of their first fee being incorrect and they gladly don't inform you of this since obviously this is more profitable

Meili logistics are grossly overcharging for "customs & delivery" services. In this case a package sent from an AliExpress associated supplier. This song is repeated in so many prior complaints on this forum. I have received a notification from iMile Logistics for payment of Customs Duty and VAT on my Ali Express import order. The item I ordered does not have any import duties and onlu VAT at 15% of Value x 110% should be payable. They have charged me almost DOUBLE the amount they should have. There is also no transparency on what the charges are made up of. Customers should be able to get a breakdown of the charges on a valid invoice from the logistics company. I phoned iMile Logistics who informed me that I must contact Meilli Logistics, who does the clearing. iMile Logistics could not give me a contact number for Meille Logistics, even though Meille Logistics does the clearing on behalf of i Mile Logistics (do you also smell a rat here?). There is no direct contact phone number available for Meilli Logistics and they do not repsond to emails sent to their email address. Furthermore, I believe that iMile Logistics purposely refuses to give out Meilli Logistics' contact number as there are probably many customers with this same problem. I have now reached out to Ali Express to get this issue resolved. Most customers probably just end up paying the ridiculous amounts levied by this shady logistics company. I will claim my refund from Ali Express for the full purchase price if this issue is not resolved. Imagine how much money is being ****** from unsuspecting customers by this ********* logistics company. This should be stopped immediately.
