Disgusting Dishonest Builder

The owner of Melkbos saw mills Mr Jorrie De Flamingh was given our architects plans, which specified everything that was required. He then quoted on building and completing the extension to our retirement home to code. Promising us the world to us and agreeing to complete the house an agreed finish. He was paid a 50% deposit, with another 30 % on delivery of materials. We considered him a good acquaintance, as had known him in the past and my husband had tried to assist him with his machinery in the past.. He then came and did the most disgusting half job, leaving the extension incomplete unsafe, not to code and leaking very badly. Proceeding to remove the majority of the wood that we had already paid for. Stating that he was going to replace it as it was incorrect. Which he has never done. The building structure as it currently stands is illegal dangerous, and not as per his quotation or legal building requirements. When we have tried to contact him. He would continuously swears at us and puts the phone down. As a result of him not making our house water tight in the recent rains the water damage from the holes in the roof and the walls not marring together has ruined the existing house and valuable irreplaceable possessions. He has shown absolutely no remorse for his disgusting service and behaviour. He has continuously lied to us and refuses to finish the job and supply us with all the materials that we have paid him for. All of a sudden states he did not quote on doing the inside of the job, even though he was given the architectural plans to follow and quote on a complete finished structure, which he not only agreed verbally, in front of his wife and ourselves on numerous other occasions. Which we have actual recordings of hims stating this. He has not delivered on workmanship or materials. He still has the audacity to put our house on his Facebook page, without our permission.Be careful he will do the same thing to you!!!
