DO NOT TOUCH their products! If any of the parts in their furniture is teak, it is so old and already so rotten that within two or three years, mushrooms will grow on your "teak" furniture! Other already decayed areas of the wood were covered up with wood filler which will change colour and separate from the rest in the weather outside and leave unsightly holes and patches. The other wooden parts of the bench are so light in weight that there is absolutely no chance that it is teak! The wood can be broken up with your fingers, it literally crumbles. We know because the bench fell apart after less than 4 years, and we investigated the broken pieces thoroughly. Shocking quality and destined to rot and decay. To add insult to injury, Melonwoods takes no responsibility for the manufacture of their product. Now after the sale they claim it was not an outdoor bench and should have been oiled. Melonwoods claims that the bench rotting and falling apart after less than 4 years outdoors was our fault. Let's not forget that real teak and real quality outdoor furniture do not require oil or any other special treatment, that's why teak is use for decking and outdoor construction. Melonwoods also shows no interest in undertanding the problem, making amends or taking it up with their workshops and suppliers. In short, Melonwoods does not care. The beauty of their products is tempting, but don't fall for it. You would be wasting your money.
