Absolutely dreadful experience from start to finish. Our property transfer was handled by MHI and Marcelle Strydom, and it was nothing short of a nightmare.

Marcelle blatantly ignored our requests and proceeded with the transfer without regard for our instructions. Despite asking to halt the process down the line as certain issues became sticking points, they pushed forward regardless, showing a complete lack of professionalism and respect for the purchaser's wishes. The instruction was NOT even acknowledged.

It was glaringly obvious that Marcelle only had the seller's interests at heart, even though we, the buyers, were the ones paying all the fees. Speaking of fees, they were significantly more expensive than those quoted by other firms, adding insult to injury.

When we raised concerns about contract discrepancies, Marcelle resorted to gaslighting, trying to shift the blame onto us despite clear evidence of errors on their part. For instance, the contract explicitly states that the transfer should occur "as soon as possible," and that occupation would take place on a specific date. However, we received a response claiming, "transfer must occur on day of occupation," which was not in line with the terms.

Marcelle also claimed that building plans were provided, but what we received were only renovation plans, which were riddled with inaccuracies. Whole sections were missing, there were no electrical points or measurements, and critical details like the dimensions of rooms were omitted entirely.

When we raised legitimate concerns, Marcelle dismissed them with irrelevant excuses, such as blaming the time of year for the grass dying or the sprinkler system not working – completely unrelated to the purchase of a property.

Most frustratingly, Marcelle intentionally delayed the transfer process to align it with the occupation date, which only exacerbated the situation.

We had to seek external legal counsel just to have our concerns acknowledged, a clear sign of Marcelle's disregard for professionalism and customer service. A deeply disappointing and frustrating experience that I would strongly advise anyone to avoid.
