I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to seek your assistance in resolving a serious issue that I have encountered with a tombstone supplier. On the 18th of January, we buried our loved one and purchased a tombstone from (Tombstone Wholesalers Rusternburg) for the total amount of R22,690, which included R4,900 for emergency services. We specifically requested that the tombstone be erected while we were still at the cemetery as emergency, however, this request was not honored. The tombstone installation was completed late in the afternoon, after we had already left the cemetery. Upon returning the following Sunday to inspect the tombstone, I was horrified to find it in a state of disrepair. It was clear that the installation was not done properly, and the tombstone was damaged. I went to the supplier to complain on the Monday following the installation. They advised me to send an email, which I am now doing. Despite my complaint, no meaningful action has been taken to resolve the issue. Instead, I received an offer of R2,500 and was told to find someone else to fix the damage. However, I was informed that only a professional specializing in tombstones could repair it, and no other contractors would be able to do so. Given that we are currently in the rainy season, I am deeply concerned that the damage to the tombstone will worsen if not addressed urgently. The damage is not only a matter of personal distress but also of potential long-term harm to the integrity of the tombstone itself. I respectfully request your urgent assistance in this matter. The supplier's failure to provide the services we paid for has caused significant emotional distress, and I am seeking a prompt resolution, either through proper repairs or a full refund. I have attached prove of payment Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to your prompt response and assistance in holding [Tombstone Wholesalers] accountable for their poor service.
