On the 02/01/2025 a flake cake(gateaux) was bought for a birthday from the branch in scottsville, PMB. The cake was cut hower having to taste it, the sponge was stale. So no other slices from the cake was had and the cake returned to the bakery in scottsville. This is were it gets interesting. The cake was taken back as they couldn't do a refund nor could they get another cake. As per the manager the cake must be sent for analysis then until the findings are sent back nothing can be done. Like Wow 😲 just wow. After calling the manager Rajen he apologised for not calling us back. And the outcome of this whole situation was mind boggling. He said that we can go fetch the money HOWEVER!!! we are no longer allowed to purchase anything from their bakery. SHOCKED, SHOOK 😳😯 Not even Woolworths will do something like this. How's this for customer service. Imagine airing your views with them and then been told you cannot purchase anything because you won't like anything. By the way we have been buying from there for at least 20 years. It seems that if we call them out and they dislike they will ban us from purchasing cakes. This is the first time in my history that a manager says this

I've the nastiest experience with Miguel's on the 5 Jan 24, I went in to purchase a cake as it was a special someone's birthday. I took the chocolate mousse cake with 3 cherries on top, my goshhhhhh was that a bad decision. Firstly the sponge was soooo dry you'd swear it was last years stock. As if that wasn't bad enough, the cake reeked of rancid cherries. To add insult to injury, I also purchased no bake brownies and a round vile thingy. They were soooo bad that everyone who ate it had diarrhea...... it was the most disgusting experience I've ever had.... plus i paid top dollar for this *******. Not even my dogs wanted it, and that's no exaggeration. So, NEVER buying from Miguel's again!!!!! Standards have reached gutter level 🤢 🤮

Fantastic corner bakery with many delights and snacks. Clean and very friendly staff. The cakes we ordered was well presented and presentable. Will definitely buy from Miguels again.

I bought a cake "Ferero Roche" on Tuesday at their branch ant Edendale Mall. The cake did not have taste and it wasn't fresh. I phoned the shop and they told.me.to bring it back. They told me that they need to do an investigation first whereas the cake is in front of them. I'm ****ed cos i wasted my money and my fuel going back there with the cake. Please boycott "Miguels Bakery Edendale mall"!

Had the worst experience with this bakery. Their customer awrvice is horrible. After messing a design we sent to them 2 weeks prior, when we asked for assistance, the manager gave us such a horrible attitude. They are definetly not the same Miguels as before. If you want to do a themed cake please don't waste your time with them!!!!

Had the worst experience with this bakery. Their customer awrvice is horrible. Disappointing in the worst manner. I placed an order on Thursday 25th August for the Thursday 1st of September. Whoever I was talking to failed to provide me a reference number. I only got it on Monday 29th August. I made an immediate payment and sent them proof on the 30th August and to this point, the 31st August, 12H16, after having spoken to the manager, who by the way failed to identify my order as per the reference number I was provided, I have not received any confirmation of receipt of payment in their side as per their communication. Mind you I've been trying to call them since morning. Phone always busy or nobody picks up. This establishment is quite good at their cakes and stuff but it's their admin that is a pain.
