We spend three nights here, the room was always clean and staff very friendly. We ordered burgers one night-room service) but the patties were raw and the fries burnt, we asked for the food to be sorted, we were ignored, we then asked for the refund during check out they refused. A week later the GM is saying she can't process the refund but I must come back to the hotel for the free meal, imagine driving 3 hours for R260? Such a terrible service

First of I want to congratulate the staff for their friendly service and always helping us. This was our 2nd time at Misty Hills, unfortunately my husband received a call from his work and that he must return immediately. This was before 10:00 , when check out usually is. We went to the reception and informed them that we had to leave and that we requested a refund for the 1 night. The receptionist informed us that it won't be possible. My husband asked to speak to her manager. After a few minutes the GM arrived with another man, that seemed to be his "bodyguard". He was extremely rude and said we need to explain why. 1st of all, it has nothing to do with him. He abruptly said that they will not refund us. So, my question now is.... we paid in full, supported their Carnivore restaurant and went for a 60 minute massage as well. What type of owners employee people who won't go the extra mile for a loyal client. I've got news for you,you arrogant GM. In any business the customer is always right! I hope the owners of the Misty Hills sees this and will reply to me asap. I will leave a bad review on every single social media platform.

Terrible 😣 service I booked for our 10 year anniversary night, when I called I specifically informed them that it was our anniversary and requested for a King size bed which was guaranteed by the receptionist. I even followed up on email after I paid to secure the booking and requested confirmation of the bed size but no one responded. On arrival at reception when also check if the bed was king size and the ladies confirmed it, we were taken to room 208 in our shock we were surprised to see two single beds in the room. When we called them there was no apology whatsoever we were just taken to the next room and that was it. Terrible service, no attention to detail, staff members are just terrible and busy chatting and laughing for no reason but talking to each other. The only friendly staff was the guy to took us to our second room and he actually apologised but not the receptionist staff, they are just a bunch of useless ladies. I feel like they spoiled our anniversary day and it was a waste of my money. I am so angry 😠

Awesome experience! Our room was exquisite, the service from all the staff was excellent. We spent the weekend and enjoyed every minute, did not have time for the extra activities like quadbiking etc but will visit again and get to that! We have visited Misty, the Spa and Carnivore numerous times, never to be disappointed! Thanks to all involved in making our stay and my birthday a memorable one! Salutations!

We booked a table of 10 for the Christmas lunch at the hotel. The staff tried manage our requests and get them seen to, but the food served which was not enough for the amount of many people allowed for lunch was sub-par. Dissappointed.

Misty hills country hotel, what an awesome experience! Helpful and friendly staff. Clean facilities. You can't help but to switch off and relax. If you are looking for something else than the normal hotel experience then this is the place to go.

We booked a stay over package at the spa and WE LEFT MORE EXHAUSTED THAN WHEN WE ARRIVED. Don't waste your money here, there are plenty of beautiful hotels that keep up to modern needs (i.e. working aircons, good WiFi, actual coffee machines and smart tv's). There are places that are well kept, where the rooms are clean and where the managers and staff actually like what they do and are passionate enough to care what their customers think. Misty Hills Hotel and Spa is not one of those places. The rate of these rooms on booking.com makes no sense to me (14 000 a night) - This place has a serious cheap motel vibe. I've had better experiences at self catering AirBnB's. The restaurant manager (Mlindi) and restaurant staff are wonderful. However, the rooms aren't nicely cleaned or maintained. Everything is outdated, especially appliances and the wifi is terrible. The place is massive so be prepared for walking. So many spiders and cobwebs. I will never go back, and would not recommend Misty Hills + Spa to anyone. Not worth it.
