Compliment to Dr K.Arends
I would just like to compliment Dr K.Arends (MBCNB-0835579) for her amazing service she rendered on 10/11/2025 the trauma unit was literally full and she worked alone in the paediatric ec ward (nightshift)and all of was seen by Dr Arends alone. Really amazing service we have received.

Poor service
Poor service we received at this hospital, this morning my brother is laying on the floor, no one is taking note of him he is even vomiting blood it's sad that service is this bad from our own people only when it comes to white race where service I so so good

THIS HOSPITAL IS A DISGRACE!
EXTREMELY DISGUSTED BY THE HORRIBLE SERVICE RECEIVED FROM THIS HOSPITAL!! My Grandfather was in a car accident , the news was brought to us that he is at the hospital, when we got there just before 8am all they said was that he is there, but My grandmother needs to wait until 10am, they could've atleast told her in what condition he is or atleast SOMETHING! Now she's sitting at the hospital in a panic mode having to wait for a whole 2 hours! I THINK ITS RIDICULOUS TO GIVE PEOPLE THIS KIND OF TREATMENT!!

Horrible service
Horrible service. I came in with a reference letter for an ultrasound and have been waiting for over 6 hours just to see a doctor when I should have just had an ultrasound done. Everyone has their own time.

Pleasantly suprised
I would like to commend Whanita in the Antenatal ward at the Mitchells Plain District Hospital. After calling another hospital several times to enquire about the procedure I needed, I was pleasantly surprised at how helpful and efficient Whanita was. Thank you!

DISGRACEFUL SERVICE
Horrible service!!!! We were referred by a doctor to have TB testing done. We waited more than 2 hours just to be told that we have to return in October to have TB testing done. (please note that we were referred as it is a matter of urgency) Everybody who was there was not assisted, only given an appointment date and for some to return only in the new year. Staff has absolute no CONCERN or SENSE OF URGENCY for anybody who is need of their help. Its been 2 days and still no testing done due to HORRIBLE Mitchell's Plain government hospitals.

Disgusting place to be!!
Hello..i hve the worst experience with this poor service hospital!! Not goin into detail..the doctors of the mental ward plus nursingstaff hve no sense of huminaty towards patients..God forbid..i will never come here ever again with a loved one..poor nursingcare doctors feedback generally no proper communication skills..im worried sick and concerned of a loved one admitted they shrug u off if you inquire..poorest nursingcare ive seen

Hospital of Horror
Back here again 2021 today.My daughter lost her baby at this same facility October 2019 she was left to have her lifeless fetus at 18.5 weeks in a pool of blood and almost a week hospitalised I had to fight my way through rude and unprofessional medical professionals that didn't have answers for why she was there so long. She was given 4 blood counts due to blood loss no sincere apology or even meeting because Covid-19 has become their saving grace to further ill treat people. I would prefer taking loved once to a Vet than come to this medical facility why I say so. My pet's get better treatment than human beings from security to medical staff. We Might live in Mitchell's Plain but we rights as patients. While my daughter was bleeding they left her like a animal in the woods with a ward filled with other mother to hear babies fetal heartbeats. Her knowing her baby would be no more after Dr spoke. Mariska of the complaints department made amends with excuses and apologies but have the behaviour changed No not in last 2 years. Today after 7 April 2021 amended visitations. They can't even allow her a birth partner and what is worse they leave the dirty work to security because they are laying warm in their beds while we sitting outside worrying of our loved ones in oarking lots of hospital my tears role because I am so disgusted in the coldness they have as if the public have done then wrong. Mrs Faroah at the time 2019 head of Facility Mou as I poured out the treatment of her staff looked above my head as if I am talking to myself till today only few emails with her name in it nothing else. My first granchild didn't make it because we were turned away and told all is well. Today we told leave food with security are you Serious! because no visiting allowed or birth partner. Now my question is all these processes that are in place yet medical staff show no respect on their phones chatting laughing ignoring the ill and then say People rude. Security control who come in and out which is what they instructed from Hospital management. They don't take accountability and sad truth is nothing is and will be done to these people till it affect them personally. I am a mother. God willing soon to be a grandmother but I will not be oppressed and silence just because this facility has learnt to cover their mess so they tend to make you the illiterate and uneducated yet they took that very oath they so easily break.
