Got an out for delivery SMS the morning stating delivery by 17:00. After 16:00 I phoned their courier company's call centre and they told me the driver would be there just after 17:00. I waited until 18:15 and then left the office with no package. Later I had to see the driver indicated a "bad address", but why does the driver not call me? Also, how can they not find the address when other couriers easily deliver there every day? Never, ever use this company as their deliveries does not seem to happen.

- On the 31st of December 2021 I bought a phone online at Mobile in Africa. - My screen got cracked and I logged it for repair with their services support. - It was collected at my home by courier and I got notified once they received it. - I received an invoice to pay for the repair, stating that it was out of warranty and it hasn't even been 12 months since I bought it, but I settled the bill. - On the 20th of December I received an email stating that my phone is ready for collection and I should arrange with a courier company to fetch it at my earliest convenience and I made an arrangement with RAM but to my surprise when the courier company went for collection on the 21st of December they were informed that the parcel is not ready and postponed the collection.

I purchased a XIAOMI Mi TV stick off Takealot in March 2021. 3 weeks ago, when I switched the device on to watch Netflix, it displayed a request to authorise an update - which I did. The next night I was watching Netflix when the device simply switched off (no load shedding). It looked like it would start loading again, but instead it now cannot get past the black screen with the grey mi brand in the middle. I am unable to hard reset the device according to the advice I could find online. It is completely unresponsive. The device has been bricked by an UPDATE! I cannot log a return with Takealot, because the device is now out of the warranty. They refuse to help. Xiaomi global support directs me to the retailer I bought from (Takealot) who refuses to help. Mobile in Africa (MIA) who is apparently THE "official distributor" of XIAOMI in SA refuses to help! If not they, then who??? This was an expensive purchase that is now a useless piece of plastic after an unreasonably short period of time!! DO NOT BUY THIS BRAND! THERE IS NO SUPPORT IN SOUTH AFRICA

Be careful of their support. They will return a faulty product and inform you it is working. They will ignore you and not resolve any issues hoping you disappear. You have been warned !

Bought a Xiaomi vacuum and mop for almost R5000. It worked for exactly 24 hours and then stopped charging. It took a week for MIA to respond to my request to fetch the unit for a refund and now half a week later all they do is send me an automated response saying that the unit is in diagnostics

I placed an order with Mobile in Africa on 10 Dec 2021. I received an incorrect order on 15 Dec 2021. 2 days later after I informed them of the mistake. Supplied photos and barcodes of the incorrect delivery. The parcel was picked up by their courier. Since then I have sent several emails. Whatsapped them and tried calling. There is no answer on their customer service line. The only response I have received is sorry for the inconvenience. I have asked that my order be canceled and my money be refunded but no response. This is a pathetic excuse for service delivery. They don't answer their telephone or the questions that I have asked. I can't understand how they provide a service. Now I am left without my order which was supposed to have been a xmas gift. As well as been out of pocket of the R999 that I have paid. I would not recommend using them as tempting as their prices may be. Rather go to a shop where u can see and speak to someone.

Best customer care in South Africa. They assisted me with a refund and the money reflected in my account within a week. They communicated with throughout the process. I'm a happy customer and will be purchasing there soon 😊
