MODERN CAPE TOWN - A BUNCH OF IDIOTS A
What a bunch of idiots. They are a Chinese mail order business with one contact telephone number locally. The initial order they got the shoe sizes and the colours wrong. After 2 months of arguing with them they agreed to replace the order. The shoes arrived today, the correct colours but the shoe sizes completely wrong again. I've given up & waved our R1,600 goodbye. Don't touch them with a bargepole. It's a ****.

Dissatisfaction on receiving cheap and wrong product under false pretence
I ordered a pair of shoes that was meat to be prosthetic to aid my peripheral neuropathy as the website for Modern in Capetown look pretty professional. I received the shoes via Buffalo Logistics only to find that the shoes came fron China I presume TEMU. I emediatly e mailed Modern in Capetown to tell them of my dissatisfaction of the product. After about 6 emails of telling them that I wanted a refund of R945.00 and numerous threats the agreed to pay Back R145.00 I futher threatened them and they finally gave me a futher 15% of the total price. So I lost the rest and gave the shoes to a needy person as they are just normal walking shoes. I would advise everyone to be careful what they order from Modern Capetown.

AVOID "MODERN CAPE TOWN" ****!!!!
I ordered a pair of Orthopedic shoes - Reduced from R3000 to R945. What arrived was the cheapest possible plastic ******* shoes, worth under R100, thrown into a cheap plastic bag without any labels or advertised Brand Name. ALL ATTEMPTS AT GETTING A FULL REFUND HAVE BEEN MET WITH AN OBVIOUSLY AI "POLITE RESPONSE", each time offering a part-refund - first 15%, then 25%, then 35% - alternatively, the 'AI response' suggested I ship the shoes AT MY OWN COST back to an address in China. I kept demanding the Cape Town address to return the shoes, and each time I get a polite A1 reply avoiding the question.

Product not the value of the money spent.
I ordered by Modern Cape Town online sneakers of R845 and was disgusted at the quality when I finally received it! The quality must have been R85 or less. Plastic! I requested a refund and they refused. Only will refund me 15% back and didn't even receive that yet! I advice consumers to he very careful about buying any goods by that company!

Do not buy from this company. They pretend to be a south African Company. Advertise shoes as orthopedic shoes. And a 30 day money back guarantee. It is nothing but Cheap Temu shoes. And when you want your money back they only offer you 50% back. And or you must sent the shoes back to china at your own cost.

This company is a ****. They pose as a SOUTH AFRICAN business. I placed an order on 25 Nov 2024 and till this day more than one month later 8 Jan 25 I am still waiting for this order - they refuse to refund me - Emma who can only be contacted via email says that they will not refund me and I should just continue to wait due to a busy period - but the tracking shows no movement and pending since 2 Dec 24. They adamant about not wanting to refund any monies back. My order was pretty large and amounted to quite a sum of money. This company is a ****. They pose as multiple companies under different names.

This company is a ****. They pose as a SOUTH AFRICAN business. I placed an order on 25 Nov 2024 and till this day more than one month later 8 Jan 25 I am still waiting for this order - they refuse to refund me - Emma who can only be contacted via email says that they will not refund me and I should just continue to wait due to a busy period - but the tracking shows no movement and pending since 2 Dec 24. They adamant about not wanting to refund any monies back. My order was pretty large and amounted to quite a sum of money. This company is a ****. Louw Durban & Modern Cape Town actually Chinese companies with shocking quality goods
This company poses as a South African company but is actually a Chinese company. The shoes I bought from them online are of the worst quality possible. They also pose as Louw Durban with exactly the same advert and a whole long story of the history of the 'South African' company. When you want to return the goods, they try and get out of it by offering a 50% voucher, then a 15% refund and when you decline all of that, they say you can send the goods back to an address in China. When one later looks for the company online, it no longer is traceable.
