I recently had an extremely disappointing experience at Montana Park Animal Hospital. On January 9, 2024, I admitted my two dachshunds for various procedures, including teeth screening, cleaning, tooth extractions, nail trimming, and a biopsy for a lump on the one dog. Throughout the day, I received no updates on the procedures, only to be blindsided with an invoice at 15:30 via email. Upon arriving for the 16:00 consultation, I was asked to pay upfront, a practice that left me frustrated. To add insult to injury, I was told that the doctor had already left, despite my scheduled appointment. The lack of transparency is troubling, especially considering the unregulated nature of veterinarians in South Africa. I believe this warrants investigation and public awareness. Upon inspecting my dogs, I found unprofessional nail trimming and a lack of a comprehensive report on the biopsy. The doctor failed to provide feedback on crucial aspects like heart conditions, eyesight, and hearing, despite paying in full for consultations and procedures. Attempts to resolve the issues with doctor have been ignored. I offered her the chance to refund consultation and other fees and address the lack of biopsy results and also the unprofessional nail trimming for the one dog, but my attempts have fallen on deaf ears. I urgently request assistance in investigating this matter.
