Monument Panelbeaters Owner Dave Haasbroek
MOST SCARY EXPERIENCE AT MONUMENT PANELBEATERS PTY LTD 21st January 2026 MONUMENT PANELBEATERS DAVE HAASBROEK!! THIS IS ONE OF THE MOST MEAN MEN I HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED!! IN MY OPINION, "" "UNPROFESSIONAL AND WAS THREATENING TO ME, A 60 YEAR OLD WOMAN SUFFERING FROM EPILEPSY" I am a 60 years old woman. Our Car was in an accident in November 2025, and was towed to Monument Panelbeaters. They did work on the car and in the process the bonnet of the car somehow, when He had finished the damaged side of the car, the car had a yellow large circle on the Bonnet. Dave Haasbroek said it happened due to the car being polished The Panelbeaters closed on the 19th Dec, AND DUE TO THE BAD WORKMANSHIP we had to wait till January for them to open before they could fix the bonnet. Then in January when we went to fetch the car, the left hand side of the car, which was the door and the left back Tyre Rim, was not repaired. Dave Haasbroek and our insurance Broker, said that the car was that way before the accident, when we knew it was not. How they determined that, only they knew. We were honest and told them the truth and they were determined to make ****s out of us and insult and belittle us in front of so many people. True deformation of character. So we were not happy and I was rather infuriated. To make matters worse, Dave Haasbroek and our insurance broker, left myself, my husband and one of our friends, alone in the workshop and rudely went outside and began discussing, between themselves. I was at this stage fuming. The one gentlemen with us, overheard them stating, in blasphemous terms, that our car was under no circumstances, damaged in the accident, When he told me this, and due to my 12 year struggle with severe epilepsy and emotional instability, I raised my voice to my broker when they walked in. I raised my voice at her and said it was not acceptable that she, whom is supposed to take our best interests to heart, goes behind our backs, and makes us to be ****s, to look dishonest and appear ********* people, with Dave Haasbroek. As We are not!! that type of people. They in fact, labeled us in that way in front of so many people, as if we were trying to **** the insurance company which is an offense. Deformation of Character, and that in front of everyone. Then the Owner of Monument Panelbeaters interfered with me personally after I lost my temper due to him and my broker discussing things outside and not in front of us, and started threatening me and trying to get me to remove myself from the building. He pointed his finger in my face and on NUMEROUS OCCASIONS THREATEND ME. HIS WORDS WERE IN AFRIKAANS, HE WAS IN MY FACE, HIS SPIT WAS IN MY FACE, THAT'S HOW CLOSE HE WAS, THE MORE I WALKED BACK, THE MORE HE CAME TOWARDS ME AND THREATENED ME. HE POINTED HIS FINGER IN MY FACE HIS WORDS, AMONGST OTHERS WHICH I CAN'T REMEMBER BECAUSE OF THE EPILEPSY STUFF, WAS, "JY WEET NIE WAT EK AAN JOU KAN DOEN NIE MEVROU". "MOET MY NIE PROBEER NIE". "EK HOU NIE VAN JOU GESIG NIE" He threatend me over and over again. What type of person runs a, supposedly professional company, discusses his customers out of their hearing capabilities with other people, and not treat them with respect. Mostly, who threatens a 60 year old woman, especially that he will harm HER. WHAT IF HE TRACES ME, FINDS MY ADDRESS AND LOOKS FOR ME TO HARM ME? I DONT KNOW HOW DANGEROUS HE IS Just because he is a gym boy???? This man does not deserve my business. I AM SO SO SORRY THAT I EVER SUPPORTED MY BROKER AND TRUSTED HER TO APPOINT THIS PANELBEATER. This is the Most disgusting experience EVER. "" "" WARNING""". DON'T USE HIM"". I AM A 60 YEAR OLD WOMAN, AND DAVE HAASBROEK VERBALLY ABUSED ME AND EVEN STUCK ME IN MY RIBS WITH HIS ELBOW" "". I HAVE OPENED AN ABUSE CASE AGAINST ABUSE AGAINST WOMAN AT THE SA POLICE ". NO MAN SHOULD TREAT ANY WOMAN THAT WAY, ESPECIALLY AS A RESULT OF HIS UNDERHANDED DEALINGS WITH MY BROKER AS WELL. The owner Dave Haasbroek from Monument Panelbeaters 0105952090 Verbally abused me, screamed at me and poked his elbow into my side. He is a young, arrogant Afrikaaner, and I am a 60 year Afrikaans lady, he abused me and caused bodily harm to me, was ********* an biased. I opened a police case of abuse against him. Do not use these people. There are 100's of other upstanding ethical Panelbeaters in the area, that can be trusted and whom are respectable. This business does not deserve your or my money, just to ensure, we as Insurance paying clients, are sought to be embezzled while Monument Panelbeaters are enriched with our insurance pay outs. The damage on our vehicle IS FROM THE ACCIDENT. NOW, AS A RESULT OF HIM AND OUR BROKER, JENNY VENTER, THE DAMAGE TO THE CARD, WHICH ARE LEGITIMATELY FROM THE ACCIDENT, ARE NOW BEING RE-INVESTIGATED. THE CAR IS INSURED BY BRYTE INSURANCE LTD, PATHETIC AS WELL. CAR HAS BEEN STANDING AT MONUMENT PANELBEATERS FROM 23 OCTOBER 2025 IT IS NOW THE 18TH OF JANUARY 2026. OUR CAR IS STILL NOT DONE DUE TO THESE THREE INSTITUTIONS. PATHETIC. 1stly, he sprayed our car, a Landrover, and residue got onto the bonnet and DAVE FROM MONUMENT PANELBEATERS, left it in such a pathetic state. Then after reporting him to our insurance company, and eventually, on arrival with the assessor, Dave Haasbroek had decided to fix the bonnet after numerous discussions with him and my husband. The worst was, and why we got into an argument, was that him and our broker, went outside of his workshop, while me and my husband were in the workshop, and the comment made (which fortunately was overheard) was that the damage to the one part of our car, was, according to them, not from the accident. He and the broker, took a stance against us, even though we are supposedly their client, and they were supposed to have our best interests at heart, but obviously they don't, which I now know and warn all of you out there, as we pay our broker and Dave gets given the work from our policy, but it VERY SIMPLY APPEARS THAT MONUMENT PANELBEATERS, BRYTE INSURANCE AND JENNY VENTER (OUR BROKER) ALL THREE WORK HAND IN HAND TO!!!!! ENSURE!!!!! , behind our backs, THAT CLAIMS ARE NOT PAID OUT AND ANY OR ANYTHING, CAN BE FOUND AS AN EXCUSE, SO THAT THEY DON'T NEED TO PAY OUR CLAIMS. !!!!!! DON'T USE ANY OF THEM!!!!!! AFTER DAVE AND JENNY'S INTERFERENCE AND DAVE'S VERBAL AND PHYSICAL ABUSE TO ME, The assessor from BRYTE INSURANCE, ONCE AGAIN, AFTER ALREADY ALMOST 3 MONTHS NOW, THAT THE CAR D IS AT THE PANELBEATERS AND BEING DECLINED FOR REPAIRS, BAD WORKMANSHIP, THE ABUSE CASE AGAINST DAVE HAASBROEK!!!! to ensure our claim was complicated OUR CAR IS STILL NOT BACK. Im very disappointed in monument panelbeaters i was in a accident and my insurance recommended monument panelbeaters i get my bakkie with more problems back my date changed 3 times before I get my bakkie back and eventually when i get my bakkie it was not finishe i wait from 8:15 the morning till 14:00 and after i get my bakkie the door was lose and the fender and it's like if you complain they don't care it cost me now again money for a mechanic to fix stuff that was part off the accident and they just said it was not part of their job and they over charge my insurance for the work they said they done and they didn't do a nice job like my door panels inside the bakkie they even didn't tight it and the people that work there i wonder if they qualified for their job

Poor panelbeaters

Management provides very bad service
I Highly recommend not to use these panelbeaters. Even if your insurance recommends them decline and ask for a different panelbeaters. They think you are stupid. The staff member we work with is great but the management is useless STAY AWAY. They fixed and resprayed our vehicle and the colour didn't even matched. Management could not see anything wrong they even got an paint expert out to come have a look and when the paint expert saw the vehicle he immediately told them you can clearly see a difference in the paint.

Monument Panelbeaters vs Outsurance: Mikey Mouse business?
Monument Panelbeaters is a true Micky Mouse business. Unfortunately associated with Outsurance! The car took two months to be repaired after minor damage due to a pothole. On eventually collecting the car...the car did not start (not battery issues as the battery is fairly new). The car was jump-started by two youngsters that luckily knew the difference between a positive and negative charge. Two days later we discover that the spare tire was on the car and the actual destroyed wheel not replaced. An earth cable dangling around in the engine compartment... (!!!) A few days after the car was towed in, we received a phone call 'where is the spare tire'. As the one tire was destroyed, the spare one was put on...so the confusion started already. Did the wheel get missing or ****** by the towing company?? My son is going to the workshop to collect a wheel On arrival turns out he was handed over wrong size and some left over lying around. They started 'looking for a wheel'. My conclusion is that Monument Panelbeaters is trying very hard to knock something financially out of it (in my opinion it stinks). And it is getting better, the 'mechanic' that fixed our vehicle was fired this morning. So at the time of writing they are checking the funny sound coming from the wheel to see if the dude being fired did a proper job and they are 'trying' to find out what happened to the wheel... Scary as there is absolutely no quality control when the car was handed over (car not starting, wheel missing, funny sounds, amplifier wire in the boot lying around luckily not causing the fuse to blow....). That all being said, Outsurance is also not anymore what it used to be!! They don't care less. Now see how much work and effort Outsurance is going to do to get the government to pay back the excess of R7000, let's see if they care (??)
