I was filling petrol at Aston on the morning of 3rd December 2025 when my car, a 1.0 Ford Ecoboost Powershift, started overheating. I drove it to Motus Ford Germiston immediately and they advised that the Thermostat housing was compromised. I lodged a parts warranty claim with my Insurance Company and they requested documents which Motus Ford kept sending incorrectly. For example, the insurance company requested a Failure Report and Motus Ford just added the root cause on the job card and after much to and fro, paperwork was submitted correctly by Motus Ford and the claim was approved. This process took three weeks. Motus Ford fitted the part and I went in to collect my vehicle in late December 2025 but once fitted, there was a flow of white smoke from the exhaust and Motus Ford said that the possible cause was that the Cylinder Head was cracked or the Cylinder head gasket was gone. The car passed the compression in December 2025 after fitment of the Thermostat housing and the technician advised that it must be the gasket because the car would not have passed the compression test if the cylinder head was cracked. A second claim was lodged with my insurance company for approval to strip the vehicle and remove the cylinder head and take to the local engineer to test for cracks. There was another lengthy period for paperwork to be submitted which took two months to resolve and get approval. The engineer report informed that the cylinder head was cracked. The claim was resubmitted for a third time to include the cylinder head in mid February 2026. On 8th March 2026, I received an email from Motus Ford that my car will be ready that same day for collection. On the evening of the 8th of March 2026, I received an email from Motus Ford, stating that the car failed the quality test as gears were slipping during the second day test drive of the vehicle on the 10th of March 2026. Motus Ford Germiston are now stating that the clutch kit has to be replaced. I called my Insurance Dial Direct and I told them about this new claim that Motus Ford Germiston was stating was another problem. They advised that I should go to the Dealership and test drive the vehicle myself and request to see the parts because I told them that I suspected that Motus Ford Dealership was trying to ****** against my parts warranty Policy. When I went to the Dealership at 1pm on 10 March 2026, my vehicle was hoisted up in the air so I could not test drive it. I asked for my parts that was removed from my vehicle and it took them time to get it together and the parts they showed me was not from my vehicle because the coolant bottle that they showed me was dented and I had replaced mine very recently and it was new. Motus Ford Germiston is giving Ford South Africa a very bad name and I would like Ford South Africa to come in and assist me to resolve this matter.

For the last two month I have been struggling to get copies of jobs cards from Ford Germiston for all services and repairs done with the dealership. My vehicle was under the factory warranty "Does Protect" that's covers all repairs. I had a issues with the engine and booked my vehicle in at Ford Germiston about Two years ago. I was advise by the service manager Bradley Lockhart that Ford has replaced the engine cause it could not be repaired. The vehicle was at for for about 2/3 months. When I recieved my vehicle back I ask documentation of the new engine that was replaced as I need to update the new engine on my vehicle registration documents. To date I'm struggling to get the relevant documents and services done at Ford Germiston. I have included Ford SA in all my communication with Ford Germiston numerous time...awaiting feedback.

I recently had a terrible experience at Ford Germiston. Their lack of professionalism and attention to detail is appalling. 1.Invoice Errors They created invoices without thoroughly checking the work done on my car. Important parts were supposedly replaced, but a private technician later revealed that half of the work wasn't done. 2. Warning Before paying, ensure the work is completed as stated on the invoice. Ford Germiston prioritized claiming payment over doing the job correctly. I'll never return. Their service is unacceptable. If you value your time and money, avoid Ford Germiston.

Absolutely ********** service from the service Advisor, took my vehicle in for a service in the morning gave a go ahead of the cost that was estimated around 10am, by 17:00 no call and never even got my vehicle Moses (Service Advisor) calls at 17:30 to check if I can pick up my vehicle 😡while I clearly requested a pickup and don’t not have a means to commute there. My vehicle stayed the night at the facility due to incompetence of service adivisor, got picked up the following morning at 10am thus being late for work 😡 I will never use this dealer again. The worst ever service from any experience I had, it’s almost as if they doing one a favour yet we paying for this!!! FORD

I bought a second-hand vehicle. Upon studying my service history I realised the Motus Ford Germiston had serviced the car previously. The first time I took it there for service was fine. Troubles started when Moses started dealing with me on the second service. After collecting the car I could tell that the car was performing differently to what I was used to. It also gave me a service-required message. I took it back to inform Moses about this, he claimed that the mechanic forgot to set up the computer. I drove for months with a car that wasn't sounding well. I retook it for service and Moses told me that the diagnostics report says they need to change the oxygen sensor and catalytic converter. I declined this and went to get my car, upon requesting a diagnostic report and a stamp for the service, he referred to Mbali for the stamp. Mbali then tells me that she didn't stamp for the service because she can't find it on the system. I produced a receipt of my service and she reluctantly stamped it. This is not even the whole story. That place is run by a bunch of ****** pretending to be professionals. Even up to now, I'm yet to receive my diagnostics report from Moses, he keeps sending me quotations instead of the report.

I recently had a very disappointing experience with Ford Motus Germiston that I feel compelled to share. I brought my vehicle in for a major service on July 2, 2024, and raised concerns regarding an airlock issue. Despite being assured twice by Mr. Moses that this matter had been addressed, I was shocked to encounter the same problem while refueling at the Sasol station nearby. Upon further inspection, I discovered that the water level for the wipers was unexpectedly low and the engine compartment was excessively dirty. To my dismay, there was also a significant accumulation of oil on top of the engine, and one of the pipes next to the engine was missing a clip. I have attached pictures to illustrate these issues. After discussing my concerns, I brought the car back in as advised by the service agent. Unfortunately, the communication from Mr. Moses was lacking, and it seemed that nothing substantial was done during this visit. The only change I noticed was that the air conditioning system began making noise, which is unacceptable. On August 5, 2024, I dropped my car off at 6:50 AM, but I only received a call from the agent at 4:00 PM asking me to approve a quote for R4,500 (excluding VAT) to strip the vehicle. It was frustrating to wait all day, only to be contacted in the last hour, and to be informed that my car would need to stay overnight. As I use this car as a working tool, this situation has compromised my ability to work effectively. This kind of service does not reflect well on Ford’s image. I have been a loyal customer of Ford Germiston since purchasing my vehicle new and have always expected a higher standard of service. The lack of attention to detail and poor communication throughout this process has left me extremely disappointed. Additionally, I am in contact with Ford South Africa regarding a leaking oil cooler housing. The engine was replaced in 2022 under warranty at Queenstown Ford, and I believe this issue should also be covered under warranty. Overall, my experience with Ford Motus Germiston has been frustrating, and I hope they can improve their service quality and communication moving forward. #FordMotusGermiston #CustomerService #Disappointed
