Worst service I ever got in my life. I took a Car in cause gears were humming. They said if it is a small thing like bearings they'll let me know the price and fix it if I agree but if it is more than that they might need to get an exchange unit which would cost me R8 880.00 So I said OK have a look at it and let me know what you find. I was then told the gears were burnt they will get back to me with the price. About 6 days later (including weekend) the price was more than double over R17k now. I said that is not what you told me when I first called and again when I left my car there, they said now the price has labour and vat that is why it has escalated to more than R17k. I ask why would you tell a customer in your premises a price that doesn't have labour and vat and they went around in circles so I decided to request to not do the job because my car is moving fine and I do not have that kind of money that they are now asking. They said no problem the quotation would be R6k in fact six thousand two hundred and some odd Rands. I must pay that first before I can come to take my car. I said nobody told me the quotation alone costs over R6k otherwise I wouldn't have asked in the first place. They said the quotation includes taking out the unit R1500, stripping the unit R1500, putting back the unit R1500, the quotation itself plus vat. They said if I can't pay the R6.2k I will have to taw the car with gearbox in pieces plus I'll still be liable to pay R3.5k for what they've done so far. I was like my car was very drivable now you want me to taw it away with gearbox in pieces plus R3.5k paid. After a really long fight they said they'll do the gearbox for R11500.00 I had no choice but to agree to this at this stage. So they did the gearbox. 9 days later the car was ready for collection, I paid R11500.00, the reverse light was permanently on and I was suppose to take the car at this stage, workshop guys tried to fix that which took a while and nobody in the management bothered to ask why is the customer still here after he has paid and the car was already ready for collection. They just walked past my elevated car without a word, at this stage I was also fed up and wanted to leave that place so I said nothing. While they were fixing that I realize that my right fender cover was just hanging in one ***** I asked what happened and nobody knew at the workshop except that they just saw it on the floor and nobody now knows where the rest of the *****s were. Workshop guys put some clips to just keep it in place and I was so ****ed I said nothing. Took my car home and it turned out that the gearbox is leaking. They said their work comes with 6months/10 000Km warranty but there was just no way I could take my car back to those people. I never bothered to even call them about this problem. I took it to a different place to get the leak sorted at a cost to me. Now seeing all these negative reviews for this place dating as far back as 2016 I cannot believe these guys are still in business. This is the worst place you can ever take your car. One star rating is not a proper rating for these people, I would put Negative 5 stars if there was such a rating. It's a pity I never checked other negative ratings of this place before I took my car there, I have learned my lesson. Everybody I say you have been warned ⚠️ ⚠️⚠️ These people are ****** and you will be fooled by their automated telephone systems and think this is a professional place, they are actually far worse than my local bush machanic in my Township. You have been warned. Enter at your own risks.

Mr. Transmission spent 4 weeks at a cost of R27k "repairing" my automatic gearbox. When collecting the vehicle I was advised to take the car to Landrover as they believe it was a fuel problem ! My propshaft needed rebalancing , the handbrake needed replacing and the seats were covered in grease . Disgusting !!

Well, I guess spoke too soon in my last post on this company. The exact same issue I had prior to the repairs done by them in September 2019 has since returned. I took the vehicle in in December 2010 as it's still within the warranty period not to mention I had started querying the workmanship 3 days after I initially fetched the vehicle after the repairs in September but kept getting bluffed that everything was fine. They refuse to act on this and deny liability. It seems all those time I was coming to them for a check up on the work they had done they knew exactly what they had done wrong and kept telling me everything is fine in order to push the warranty period. Now they fail to give a technical report on what exactly went wrong and furthermore they wish to charge me storage whilst I lodge a complaint with RMI.
