MV Appliances AKA Appliance Guru
**** artists. They just re-gas and flush your fridge without finding the problem. They charge you and arm and a leg and then vanish. Five months later you sitting with the same issue. Despite claiming that there's a 6 month guarantee on the job, it's impossible to get them to come back. Dont waste your time and your money.

Beware..... ****mers - stay away. (appear as applianceguru.co.za online) They are quick to respond to ones repair query and promptly call back and come out. This is where they catch the consumer. I was quoted R2200 for a selector switch to repair my oven. Fortunately I heard the so called technician call a service department and the person on the other side quoted less than R800. So called technician then berated the person on the call and said that the real cost should be 3k! He conveniently proceeded to quoted me R2.2k for the switch, R850 for labour, ironically totaling up to his 3k. He then asked for 75% deposit to purchase the part! I found the same part, on the same day for R750. When I confirmed to them that I would not accept their quote as it is daylight ******* given the actual price of the part, it was demanded that I pay R500 call out fee.

Mind, the bos from MV Appliances (operating under applianceguru.co.za) came out to fix my dishwasher which wasn't pumping water. He replaced the pump and a switch. Two weeks later the pump started leaking water. It took me two weeks to get him to come back and check. He said the seal was loose, so he wiggled it around and closed it up and left. It continued leaking. I tried to get him back out but he never came. Luckily I insisted on keeping the old pump. I tested it and it worked fine, i.e. was never broken. I removed the new one and put the old one back. The machine now works perfectly and doesn't leak. When I compared the new and old pump, it was clear that Mind replaced it with a generic pump. But what is even clearer is that Mind sold me a new pump when I didn't need one. He has promised to refund me for the pump, but he never has and just lies about the payment being made. MV Appliances will come out immediately to 'fix' your machine, but will replace unnecessary parts, and never return if his work is faulty.

UUGGHH
These guys somehow (perhaps via a mole at Samsung) find out you have a faulty appliance and just pitch up. They take your machine and it comes back with battered and beaten used parts, and they tell you something else has broken. NEVER ENGAGE YOU WILL REGRET IT!!!

Stay away from this company! We called Mind Tshabangu back numerous times after my washing machine was NOT working properly after he "fixed" it, and "replaced" the drainage pump. As soon as he had his money, he did not come back as promised, and avoided our calls. His guarantee means nothing, and his after-sales service is non-exitstent. So disappointed, as are many other people, by the look of his solid 1-star rating! Pathetic. I wish we had checked Hello Peter first, before dealing with this ****mer.

In tears R5000 gone
I really appeal to X Repo, Moja Love shows eg Rea Tsotela and any other to intervene and help the citizens regarding this company that robs people. I am a victim. Have spent more than R5000 on parts Mind Tshabangu is running away with my money. My washing machine is on a worse state than what it was. Please Skhupha ma files check this company and contact people who are affected.
