<p>After receiving really shocking service [boxes not delivered for a year] and then cancelling my account, I have now received an email stating that I have been handed over to a debt collector. I have NEVER received an invoice from MYSMARTKID and was not even aware that I owed them anything. How is a company like this still running? I have read the other reviews – everyone’s having trouble with them. How do I go about solving this issue and getting my account’s payments up to date and actually cancelling the thing when I can’t even contact MYSMARTKID. I am not able to dial the numbers you have on your website from Namibia and no one ever responds to your email queries. PLEASE ASSIST ASAP!!!</p>

<p>I subcribed to mysmarkid when my Son was born hoping to stimulate his development, as my son was getting older and we kept getting the toys they would send but he was never intrested in them.</p> <p> </p> <p>I called and canclled and was advised that the contract had been cancelled only to get a debit order go through on my account. I called agin and they appologized for the mistake, even sent me a appology and confirmation of cancellation on email. </p> <p> </p> <p>I thought thats that.</p> <p> </p> <p>Today I get a email that the account has been handed over to debt collectors and is earning intrest what Rubish....</p> <p> </p>

<p>It is with great dissapointment that I had to learn today that My Smart Kids has handed my account over to a dept collector. This without ever sending me one invoice for any outstanding amount, one phone call or follow up or notification of an amount outstanding. After enquiry today, it seems as if this is a common problem and the current owners do not care to assist and makes it very clear that this is not their problem, they only acquired the company and this still needs to be taken up with Media24. </p> <p>I have been following up the whole day now, not one person can provide me with a statement of my outstanding amount and when the services was provided. </p> <p>I am extremely unhappy that after being a good customer, being handed over for something I was not even aware of and then the arrogance that goes with it. Very dissapointed that such a good initial service can end with such a sour taste in my mouth!</p>

<p>It is with great dissapointment that I had to learn today that My Smart Kids has handed my account over to a dept collector. <p>My credit card details changed, so my payment for my smart kid did not go through I spoke to someone on the phone to get it fixed and I was happy to let them change my credit card details. The person on the other side assured met that everything was in order.</p> <p> </p> <p>My next box was not delivered and I send an email to find out what is going on. They said the payment did not go through. I told them that I did change my details and thought everything was in order.</p> <p> </p> <p>Still nothing happened and when I asked about it I did not get a response. So I thought to myself, "fine, then I don't want the box anyway"</p> <p>A few months later I get an SMS and email from Lexmed to say that my smart kid account was handed over to them.</p> <p>WHAT THE HECK???</p> <p>I have not received a box and I tried to fix the problem. They could not handle it on their side and now I'm handed over, this is outrageous!!</p>

<p>I paid my Smartbox via credit card. On 16 Aug 2016 I cancelled my future debit orders and deliveries which I have proof that they received and accepted it. Now 6 months later I received a message from LEXMED saying that I owe them R940-00. My SMART KID never phoned or said anything that I owe them money and that after I cancelled my contract. How do they work? Do they just assume that you will continue paying after you cancelled the contract. I never received I smartbox if the debit order didnt go through and I didnt receive any smartboxes in the last 6 months - so for what is that money? Will never recommend anyone to use the're services again.</p>

<p>I'm very dissapointed at how my smart kid handle their account queries/records.I joined my smartkid and I recieved the box while I was still pregnant.I made an eft payment in May.Now I'm gertting an email saying I owe 824.When I call the consultant she is saying I owe 700 .Worse 've closed my standard bank account, now I need to go to the bank just because they didn't handle their accounts properly.What I fail to understand is why they didn't contact me if I owed from June, why their are contacting me now that their closing down?</p> <p> </p> <p>They change the membership number without notifying me.They must start handling their accounts properly.</p> <p> </p>

<p>I have been debited 3 times since cancelling my subscription, I have had to fight for a refund and whenever they respond to me it is to "accept my cancellation". Which is not why I am emailing them as the cancellation was done ages ago, I am emailing them to ask for my refund!!! It is an uphill battle with minimal to no response from them. I am sick of this! I just want to get my money back and get rid of them!!</p>
