My wife and I looked at a White Audi A3 at Mystic Cars Balito, on the 17th of Dec 2024.Asked the sales man, "Has this vehicle been in any accidents or collisions?". The answer was, "not to my knowledge". I asked, "does this car have a cambelt, or trimming chain.?" The answer was, "it has a trimming chain". We purchased it. Picked it up on the 19th of December 2024.On the drive home, the rear view mirror falls off the windscreen. The salesman says we must take it to PG Glass to get fitted back. On the 20th of December 2024, I contacted the sales man, and informed him that the car has a red front bumper. He said, he will find out what happened, and get back to me. Needless to say, I had to call him back. I had to remove the front bumper to change the windscreen washer bottle, only to find that there were no headlight washers, which by the way, Audi confirms the car from the factory with this feature. I again contacted the salesman, and once again, I got the same response, "I'm unaware that this car had headlight washers". Which normal person, just removes headlight washers from a vehicle? I've sent him numerous pictures, proving, that this car was in a collision of some sort, including pictures of a headlight, that was from a s**** yard, and yet, no effort has been made on their part to try and resolve this matter. I have since changed the cambelt, as there was no record of it ever being done (it should of been done on 120 000 kms) we purchased it at 144 300km. Ive changed front brakes, pads and disc's, only to find out, the front disc's are different. The whole left side strut assembly has been changed. I'm yet to hear from Mystic Cars salesman.By the way, we paid their full asking price. They were not willing to come down even by R1. I will not be returning to Mystic Cars, and I sure won't be recommending them to anyone. If however, someone wants to purchase from them, I recommend getting a independent, comprehensive Dekra or AA report. If they refuse, walk away from this dealership completely.

My wife and I bought a used Mercedes Benz CLA 220d A/t in July 2020 from Mystic Cars in Ballito, the car was said to be in an immaculate condition with Full Service history proved to be a disaster from the day of its delivery. Within 4 months after travelling only 3000 km the vehicle had a gearbox brake down, the dealer was notified but refused to fix the car, we then locked a complaint with MIOSA. Its during this period that we discovered that the Service Records were inaccurate, misleading and not tallying with the odometer. MIOSA investigated the matter and recommended that Mystic Cars repair the vehicle inline with the Consumer Protection Act, again the dealer refused to honor his obligation despite the 6 months Imp**** Warranty of Quality given by Sec 56 of this Act, the matter was then referred to the National Consumer Tribunal NCT for relief. After 2 years of intense submissions and representation, the case was Set Down for the 26th January 23. In its Judgement the Tribunal found that Mystic Cars committed prohibited conduct, being an act or omission in contravention of Sec 55(2)b read with 56(2)b of the CPA and ordered Mystic Cars to Refund us the Full purchase price plus interest for the duration of the deal. Further more the NCT issued a Certificate in terms of Sec 115(2)b to institute proceedings in the High Court for damages. All is well that ends well. We share our experience in order to educate, inform and warn fellow consumers about their rights to fair deals. This case can be read on the Tribunal website. See NCT229019/2022/75(1)b.

I have had the unfortnate experince of purchasing a vehicle from Mystic Cars in Ballito. I have had nothing but greif since purchasing what I thought was a dream car for me, a Ford Ranger 2014 Super Cab in June 2019. This was suppose to be the symbol of my business growing and expanding my business with a bigger and stronger bakkie instead it has caused me loss of income and reliability. After being assured by the salesman that if I experince any problems within the first 6 months repairs would be covered or the vechile would be replaced as stated in the Consumer Protection Act (CPA), I experinced problems shortly after purchasing it. I went back mulitple times since purchasing my bakkie in June 2019, which was mostly srugged off that nothing was wrong or kept a few days and supposely tweaked even after my bakkie broke down repeatively leaving me stranded on the side of the road my complaints still weren't taken seriously until it competely broke down in November 2019, it then remained with their mechanic being repaired until the 28th February 2020. In this time my family have been inconvenienced considerably without the bakkie it has placed immeasurable stress on myself, wife and our children not having a relible vehicle to use and having to make a plan to get to work and school. They handed us an enormous bill even though the CPA clearly states they should cover the cost of this as the vehicle was defective from the time of purchase but desperate to get back to a normal life after being without a vehicle for almost 3 months and the legal route looking like a long road I had to make a plan to pay the bill. After collecting my bakkie from their mechanic on the 6th March 2020 and stating to the mechnic the turbo didn't sound right, I was told it was fine. Today (10th March 202) only 4 days after collecting it, my bakkie started making a strange sound and lost almost all of its power, it seems the turbo has now packed up... so yet again we are without my bakkie. To say the least the treatment I have gotten from Mystic Cars from Ballito is beyond desipicable.

We bought an older vehicle for our farm from Mystic Cars in Ballito. We paid almost R5000 for a 6 month mechanical repair insurance, just to be sure that any problems would be taken care of. We took the car in with a long list of faults, after having the vehicle for a week, only one issue was repaired. The others we were told were wear and tear that happened in the 3 weeks we had been driving the car The repaired fault turned out to be patched and not repaired, and when ilthe car broke down after less Tha 6 months we were told they had done us a favor and would not help any further. We have met 2 other people who have suffered the same treatment in the last 5 months. A disreputable dealership to be sure, and one best avoided at all costs.

Car Details: Smart Car 2004 Price: R50 000.00 Purchase date: 28 Apr 2017 On the 18th of Sep I went to them and mailed them as the car kept jumping out of gear – I had till this stage only added 3 500 km onto the car as the reason for going smaller was due to the fact that I was only doing +/- 20km per day to collect my daughter from school so no longer needed a big car. I had taken it to a company to have a diagnostic test done and took them the errors which got thrown out as they did not feel that such few km could cause the issues showing up. When I went to see Mystic Cars they were all willing to assist at this point as long as I took the car to the garage that they requested I go to – which just happened to be the company that had done the first test. As I did not want to drive the car they said they would arrange for the car to be towed and taken to the garage – well long story short they drove the car to Mystic Cars and it stood there for 2 weeks with nothing happening to the car and every time we spoke to them there was an excuse as to why nothing had happened as yet, in the meantime I had to loan a car so that I was able to get my daughter from school every day as they were not willing to assist in anyway with a car. They then suggested that I take the car through to Star Auto Centre where my car has been since yesterday the 27th of Nov. During this time every time we tried to speak to Mystic cars about who will be paying for the car as the sold me a car that was still with in the 6 months consumer act and they clearly had not done all the proper checks on the car – the showed no interest in anyway. The main issues with the car was the turning angle sensor that was faulty and the engine bolts that were broken and needed to be replaced – total for the bill R11 650.12 and over 2 months not having a car. Star Auto Centre has also confirmed that they don’t feel the things could have gone so wrong in such a short period of time and that Mystic Cars needs to take responsibility – when they called Mystic Cars on our behalf the were not spoken to in away where one could have a conversation with them and come to a point where they agreed to take responsibility. I would like to know what grounds I have for them selling me a car that had not had all the checks like I asked – I have asked them for the confirmation showing what test were done on the car before I bought it and to date I have not been given these documents. I have been in touch with the MIO see if they can assist me in away as I don’t have the R11 650.12 just lying around and have now had to go to the bank for a loan and pay interest for goods sold without full disclosure been given. I do have copies of e-mails sent to Mystic Cars should you need copies of them.
