I contacted Nactor Repairs on a Saturday morning 25th Oct 2025, to assist with repairs to a washing machine, which was stopping mid spin cycle, on the highest spin level. The machine was operational on every other setting. The response time to my enquiry was almost immediate, Nactor asked questions and requested photo's to assess the situation and confirmed a same day service. The Technicians arrived and prior to inspection of the appliance advised that this machine has two pumps and this is probably what needs replacement. upon inspection of the machine the Technician confirms that the machine has 1 pump. I requested that the Technician advise me if there are other issues, and I explained I wanted to make an informed decision on the repairs and related costs. He advised me that he is still inspecting and proceeded to open the machine. I stepped away from their workspace and upon my return the technician confirmed that the pump was the only problem, at which point I asked him to proceed with the repairs (replacement of water pump). The technician advised that the installation was already done. The technician provided me with a link to the invoice, i noticed my personal details where inaccurate, however the invoice reflected the business name 'Nactor Repairs' the banking details was in the name of an individual. I proceeded cautiously and contacted Nactor Repair, provided them with a snapshot of the invoice enquired if the bank details where accurate and if I may I proceed to pay. Nactor confirmed all details accurate and further explained that they were out of office and the formal invoice with the 6 month guarantee will be provided to me on Monday, 27th October 2025. I was comfortable with this, I thanked them and paid for the service. On the afternoon of 28th October, I used the machine for the first time since its repair, in the middle of a wash cycle, the machine rumbles loudly and stopped. The door was sealed and I was unable to reset rinse or spin or wash, I contacted Nactor Repairs and requested assistance and explained the urgency due to the laundry locked in. Nactor advised that they will contact the technician who will arrive the next morning 30th Oct. I followed up mid morning to confirm the technicians arrival, expressing my concern that efforts to contact their offices telephonically failed, and my unfortunate situation with the laundry required urgent attention. Via watssap Nactor advised me that if the technician finds that nothing is wrong with the machine, he will charge me R400-. Having not received Nactors formal invoice, on Monday, this raised red flags and I responded that i will be forced to report this matter of the invoice/billing details, **** promise of guarantee, and an apparently botched job. I told them that I am not willing to pay additional fees and asked that they please confirm next steps. Either way I needed to find a solution. Nactor responded 'that people make false claims and the technician uses fuel to travel all the way' and the charge will be levied if the machine is working'. The complicated dialogue had no value. I had no support and nothing further to say. Friday 31 Oct 2025 at COB, the technician makes contact and confirms an appointment for Saturday. His diagnosis is that another part of the machine is broken, this can apparently happen, (estimated cost of replacement part is +R2000), and he advised 'its a big job' and obviously not worth it. As I wrote this review i referred back to the technicians link to his invoice, which now does not make reference to Nactor Repairs but instead reflects 'Able Appliance Repairs'. unprofessional, poor customer service and misrepresentation.
