The nail shop opposite just undies in durban phoenix plaza, my wife went their and was treated harshly by the workers. She felt they was rude and they didn't help her looking for the color she needed to do her nails. Really pathetic considering they just opened recently. Coming from a man who as a wife who does her nails all the time I wouldn't recommend this place. Because it's a new shop we wanted to try but we rather stick to the place we usually go by.

To whom it may concern. I am absolutely disgusted with the horrendous service I received at the Pavillion branch. I had come into store on the 17th of December with my friend who was getting her nails done with Jackie. Whilst she was getting her nails done I was interested in making a booking for the 23rd of December and had asked Jackie her opinion. She advised me to come in and book with her as she is the “head” nail artist in store. After making the booking for 3:30 on the 23rd I made sure to double check it before I left. I arrived for my appointment only to realize that the booking was not made. The manager, told me I would have to make a booking for another day as they can not help me. She did not even try to find a way to help me. After my friend spoke to her Over the phone she finally agreed to do something about it. She suggested I just do gel because the none of the other staff members knew how to do acrylic. So my question was why should I settle for something that I would be paying for when my appointment was to initially do acrylic and a pedi with someone who assured me they would do it. It is not the customers problem! At this stage I was absolutely furious I just needed my nails done immediately and did not even want a pedi because clearly they could not provide me with this service. I had to wait in the mall from 3:30 until 7:30 In the evening to get my nails done because I could not go home and come back . This was an absolute inconvenience to me as I had made arrangements in advance and had an engagement to attend but missed it. Jackie blatantly denied me making my booking and started giving me attitude to a point where she rolled her eyes at me in front of the customer she was busy with! Never in my life have I ever felt so humiliated for a service I am paying for. I was told I need to come back at 7:30 and Jackie will do my nails. when I arrived Jackie was nowhere to be seen and I was told she had left. Why promise me if you know that you won’t be in store! The petite coloured lady who had mixed my appointment up initially was the only one that apologized to me sincerely. She was absolutely accommodating towards me.. Sally who ended up doing my nails tried her best to make sure I was satisfied. She was s pleasure to deal with. This experience could have been avoided if they had just tried to assist me when I walked in today instead of giving me a hard time. I am absolutely disappointed with Jackie’s attitude as her behavior was the most appalling considering she was the one who told the lady what time to make my booking for. She has no customer service s****s and her attitude towards paying customers is horrible! I will not be coming back to nail factor anytime soon and neither will I continue to recommend this brand to any of my customers. Disgusting

I recently had eyelash extensions put in for my sisters wedding as well as a gelish manicure. A week had past and I really needed the extensions off as I am a glasses wearer and felt they were getting in the way -although they were quite lovely.

I had been calling around on the Thursday for an appointment on Friday (hopeful), most big ticket salons were fully booked. I googled places that remove eyelash extensions at Pavilion Mall and The Nail Factor came up. I called and to my surprise they could see me the next day for a soak off of both my eyelashes and nails.

The main reason for me wanting to go to a "professional" was because I did not want my own eyelashes to be plucked off. I enter the salon at my appointment time and there are about 5 ladies all huddled at the till, there isnt any music playing..and they all just stare at me when I walk in - not saying a thing even when I reach the till - which was beyond uncomfortable for any client. I have to introduce myself and state that I have an appointment. The one girl stands up (the rest are still sitting there and staring at me) - and says "do you want to do your eyelashes first?" and starts walking away to another room in the back. I respond by saying "whatever is best" and she continues to walk away. I then ask her if I must come with her to the room which she says yes to. The rest of the girls are still just staring at me.

I enter the room and she tells me to lay down (on the opposite end of the bed without a pillow to rest my head) and then starts saying "please dont be like my other client who gave me a hiding because this will burn. I did her a FAVOUR and she acted like that". This should of been my first warning sign. This girl who was laughing and telling me of a client who could not deal with the pain and who she had done a FAVOUR for. She begun the treatment - told me to shut my eyes tight - and when I did - she giggled - which I didnt appreciate,

She swiped on the solution to my eyes and it did burn to high heaven. I assumed this is normal so just dealt with it. She placed a face cloth in my hand and told me to use this. She then started tugging and plucking at my eyelashes. I could feel something was very wrong. The pain was absolutely unbearable. She then told me that the lady who did my extensions used the incorrect glue (of course it is somebody elses mistake). She continued in this manner for a few minutes and I was highly uncomfortable. She kept giglgling at me when I would tear or twitch because of the burning sensation or when she literally tugged hardly at my eye. She kept pulling at them and eventually I had to do something I have NEVER done before and politely told her that if they are stubborn to leave them - I will either go back to the lady who did them or try to take them off at home.

I get off the bed and she asks to wash my face. Still staring at me with the most satiated look on her face. My eyes burn a heck of a lot but I thought that would go down. There were clumps of glue on my eyelashes still but I figured this is to my own doing as I asked her to stop. Looking absolutely ridiculous - I entered the main section of the salon to soak my gelish off. I was already feeling uncomfortable with my eyes and then I had to reenter the staring of the group of girls sitting around the till. All looking at me like I am death resurrected.

I again have to ask where to sit - another lady directs me to the seat. By this time, the lady who had attempted the eyelash removal started broadcasting to them how I didnt want her to continue and how the glue applied was wrong. Again, she was announcing this in a condescending manner. The lady who did my nails was absolutely lovely however. She asked if I needed anything to help with my eye, engaged with me and made me feel slightly comfortable and did a quick, efficient and good job at my soak off on my hands.

During this time I had to endure the rest of the staff - still sitting around the till - discuss their boss "Mrs Naidoo" and their fellow colleagues and how clients who are late are so very unreasonable.

I made it through - paid and left. I got home and my left eye was completely shut closed. I tried home remedies and sleeping it off. I wake up this morning and there is actual bruising on my eyelid to the point where it is starting to scab and my eyelid is swollen and shut. I seriously doubt this is becuase of the "incorrect glue" initially used.

I should of guessed that a salon that was dead quiet on a Friday evening would be a horrendous choice but I needed these off by the weekend - little did I know - I would be injured and not have sight in one eye the next day.

I am a HR professional and usually never complain about any service staff as I am constantly empathetic. For me to write this review is massive - and proves my disappointment - because this is very out of my character.

I will never return or recommend Nail Factor Pavilion for my experience and service. It did not do justice to the brand or the money I paid for my treatment.

I'm livid by the service my colleagues and I received from Nail Factor Galleria.
We went there just a week ago to get our nails done we weren't happy with it at all
and we let me know during the course of the week and the lady that works there kept saying she will speak to the owner about it and we got not feedback so today we all(all three of us) decided to go there and find out the progress because a week into doing our acrylic tips with color the nails are already growing out because the cuticles weren't pushed back properly, the nails are already lifting and the nail art is falling out.
The feedback we received is \we won't do anything about it". R1200 worth of business to be told \""nothing will be done\"" is unacceptable.

"""

I made an appoitment for 6pm on Friday to have gelish overlay.I arrived at 6.02pm.all the nail technicians were busy.i was told to be seated. I waited till 6.15 another girl came and asked me my name.i asked her if she can find out how long it will take so I can come back. she said I can be back at 6.30pm so I popped out.I came back at 6.30pm and the one nail technician had just finished her client.the mannerism of the girl was not very friendly. she didn't apologize for the wait. she shoved the colors in front of me. the sample of colors are very bad.she made choose a color very quickly and then she suggested I make one nail on each hand a different colour,i was happy.this girl kept getting messages on her phone and she was rushing like mad to get done. in 20 minutes I was finished.when I phoned I was told R200 when I paid they charged R240 I asked why and they said its R20 per nail for an extra colour, they were offended that I asked.i don't mind paying but I wasn't told.i examined my nails and I complained that my nails were not filed properly the girl who did my nails wouldn't talk to me, I was told my nails are short and sorry you not happy.
