I registered as a builder and had to book my exam, nowhere on their website does it state that you need to do exam in 30 days from payment but they do say its in some document (ie small print) that states that. So I tried to book test online, their system is so lousy its unbelievable, I was unable to find an open date. Phoned in multiple times but get put on to someone else in call centre and then calls get dropped... Very unprofessional entity.

Does Western Cape, Milnerton have employees? You call reception they say they transfer you to the department that deals with the renewal, the phone just hangs up, while you waited for more than 30 minutes on line. I made renewal 8 days back and i have paid the status says paid but no certificate is uploaded. Can someone be accountable please.

We have been complaining about Lenova Construction to NHBRC but officials in Bloemfontein are taking bribes from the developer, a house built in less than 2yrs now have cracks inside and outside the developer doesn't want to fix the cracks she said NHBRC is on here side, it's evident that it is true we went multiple times to launch complaints but nothing is happening. Roof leaking was reported before 12 month but was never fixed it's almost 2yrs since we occupied the place.

NO REPLY FROM THEM ! The NHBRC does nothing for it`s members and just passing the buck. When I complained about my membership that I couldn`t renew online because their system wouldn`t allow me to, this is the response I get from Mrs van der Berg at the Western Cape branch: Dear Sibongile, Please assist. Stay Safe Kind regards Agnes Van den Berg NHBRC Marketing - Western Cape No one wants to work anymore and they just move it on to someone else without listening to the client's problem. They are becoming like every government institution. Stil I am not registered and my membership hasn`t been renewed for 2023. Absolutely useless !

We are trying to address a builder that has ****** over half a million from us and is registered with NHBRC.We have laid ******** charges. We are also paying large amounts in remedial work for bad workmanship aside from the theft losses. His company is Prosperitty Builders ( yes two t's)He has 3 judgements against him. NHBRC is not helping us to deregister him. We have called and sent several emails. They are useless in helping and it seems as if it is just a convenience and not an organisation that has credibility in controlling their members.

(My) Home Owners Submission GENERAL COMPLAINT & CONCLUSION I was sold a property which is a lifetime investment of mine, under the pretext of false advertising False advertising, misleading information and deception was used to rob me of my hard work and dreams, and that is wrong and very unfair. Every day I regret making the purchase. Yes, perfection does not exist but daylight robbery and unfairness does exist, and every day it is a constant and painful reminder to myself, my dreams and aspiration, hard work and money. " . . .''''' .' 15' (4) An inspector holding an investigation shall not incur any civil liability by virtue of anything contained in the report referred to in subsection (2). The inspection should have detected that the whole infrastructure is not acceptable and non-negotiable as our life's are in danger. The whole infrastructure is an insult, a mediocre and broad daylight robbery to me as an investor- one property is an investment too!! I wonder every day how ABSA Bank approved this whole structure and my unit. Everything is of poor quality from the veranda tile to the toilet handle and everything else Why? How did NHBRC approve this scam of a supposed project of BRINDLE MEWS? Words do not and cannot describe what goes on in my mind, spirit and heart every minute regarding my investment going down the drain every day. NHRBC's Findings:- Utter nonsense and insult!!! UNIT ** . Leak underneath the kitchen sink resulting to the kitchen cupboard being damaged. . Poor plaster finish behind the refrigerator. . Vertical crack next to the plug point in bedroom 1 and bedroom 2. . Diagonal crack at the window opening less than 1mm in bedroom 2 visible on both sides. . Separation crack between door frame and masonry walling in the bathroom. . Crack at the opening in the lounge. . Sliding door faulty and not cleaned. . This organisation is supposed to protect the housing consumer, and not protect and enable crook builders! The builder owes me more than R1 million for money paid to the builder and not put into my building project. The NHBRC did not take away his NHBRC certificate and this builder continues to swindle innocent homeowners of money. The Builder is Mr Nkosinathi (Nathi) Mxoli from Twin Place Trading and Projects 255. This is apparently a CC but the NHBRC certificate provided to me by this builder does not declare that it is a CC!! We are paying the NHBRC for what??
