I am reaching out to provide feedback regarding a recent and deeply disappointing experience with your company, specifically involving Michael and the overall service I received.
On Wednesday, November 27, I contacted your company based on a recommendation from Uresh at Speed Technics, who spoke very highly of your work and mentioned your team had previously assisted with one of my vehicles. However, my experience has fallen drastically short of expectations.
Initial Contact and Miscommunication
I initially called the two numbers listed on your website. The first went unanswered, so I tried the second, which connected me to a branch in either Port Elizabeth or Limpopo. After explaining my situation and providing my address in Morningside, I received a call back 30 minutes later, only to be told that the branch was not based in Johannesburg. They then provided me with your office number.
When I called your Johannesburg office, I spoke to a lady who asked for pictures and details of my vehicle, including the year, make, and model. She assured me she would call back within 10 minutes, which she did. She confirmed your team could assist and quoted me R1,200, which I agreed to. However, during our conversation, she asked strange and insinuating questions about why I was referred to the PE branch, making me feel uncomfortable and as though I was being treated with suspicion.
Interaction with Michael
Later that afternoon, Michael arrived at my place. Upon seeing the vehicle, he made sarcastic remarks, referring to it as an “old car” and joking about being assigned a “special car.” He mentioned needing a specific puller tool to access the steering column and promised to return the following day to complete the work.
Unfortunately, Michael did not follow through on his promise, nor did he communicate. I attempted to follow up with him multiple times, only to be told he was in Pretoria and couldn’t assist. When I asked if someone else from your company could help, he claimed that you only trusted him to handle the job. Despite explaining the urgency—particularly because the car was obstructing a complex maintenance project, risking potential damage—I received no support or resolution.
Continued Lack of Communication and Follow-Up
Since then, Michael has failed to respond or provide any updates. This lack of customer service has left me highly frustrated. I went out of my way to gather tools, share detailed pictures and videos, and make the process as seamless as possible, only to be met with unprofessionalism and unfulfilled promises.
Feedback and Next Steps
I am extremely disappointed in this experience. Your company was highly recommended to me, yet the service I received was far below standard. Michael’s lack of professionalism, poor communication, and unwillingness to assist have completely eroded my trust in your business.
I would like you to know that I will not be using your services in the future. I will also be sharing my experience publicly, including reviews on platforms such as Hello Peter, to inform others of the challenges I faced.
