NJR ROOFING VERULAM (POOR WORKMANSHIP)

I have done renovations to my home about a year and half back.I contacted NJR roofing to install new roofing and replace my existing roof tiles as well.Initially i was given a runaround with them regarding them starting the job with excuses that they were waiting for material.However i accepted their excuses and eventually the started the work 3 weeks later.I was actually pleased with the look of the job when they had finished.However looks can be deceiving.Somewhere around a year later we had strong winds and a few tiles were blown off.I didnt really think anything of it as i thought maybe the wind was too strong and these things may happen. The final straw came last week when kzn had severe winds.I was inside my house when i heard things falling.I looked outside and could see roof tiles lying around.As the wind picked up more tiles started to come off.I went outside to inspect because i became worried that my whole roof was going to be blown off.All i could see was tiles being lifted off. From my opinion i feel that the tiles had not been secured properly therefore they were coming off and i would blame poor workmanship since not a single house in my area experienced this.What further upset me is that they initially promised that they would come and fix it but now its been a week and nobody came.When i contacted them again i was told that the 1 year guarantee is over.My point is how can a time guarantee apply if the workmanship wasnt put through severe weather conditions.If there wasnt any strong winds within that period how can one tell that the workmanship is good.I even went up the roof and replaced almost half of the tiles that came off by myself.About 70 tiles had fallen off and broke.I now intend sorting this out at my cost but however will never advise anyone to use this company,as they have a very bad workmanship and poor service delivery.Sometimes it is better to pay a little extra but get good service from a company that values their clients and want to go that extra mile.After all we are paying for a service that they provide.
