On 08.02.2026, I attended NNK at 2 De Grendel Road, Jan Burger Sports Complex, Parow North, Cape Town, 7500. This venue is commonly perceived as catering predominantly to white patrons. As a coloured person, I experienced treatment that reflected this perception. Despite being a regular patron, I observed that service and attention appeared directed primarily toward white customers. Despite my direct request for assistance, staff did not address me; instead, they directed the matter to a man seated at the bar, identified to me as the owner. My request to review CCTV footage was dismissed by him without engagement. This incident reinforced the impression that service and accountability at NNK are not extended equally and that racial bias influences how patrons are treated. As a person of colour, I found this response dismissive and troubling. I am documenting this experience to ensure there is a clear record of the discriminatory nature of the interaction and to request that it be formally reviewed. I shall, on my own and legal way, take this forward.

Such poor management who refuses to take responsibility. How can you blame an Uber driver for delivering incorrect food if you have the driver multiple packages and none of them are marked? Are you absolutely crazy? Ordering items of over 400 and receiving an order of just over 100?? And you don’t wan to take responsibility. I will make sure my entire friends group and sport institutions never order from you again as I haven’t even a reply after a detailed response to you ****ty reply!

Me and my business partners visited this establishment on 09/03/2024 as it was recommended to me by a colleague. Let me first mention that I am a regular customer and always tip the bartenders extremely good with EACH purchase and EACH time I swipe my card. There was a specific bar lady, short, dark hair with tattoos on her arms & shoulders. She looked very aggressive and irritated with us as customers and gave us foul stares. It seemed she does not like her job or wanted to be somewhere else? When I finally got helped, I was inquiring about a tray for my shooters as I purchased a big amount. She sweated at me and shouted ****** out of nowhere and walked away. How is this allowed to be said to a customer? I also wanted to order some food but I took my colleagues elsewhere immediately and apologized for this embarrassment of a place, as I have never experienced this there before. It seems this woman has some type of a mood/mental disorder as her aggression was vivid. I will inform all my family, friends and colleagues to not support this place anymore. You have lost a loyal customer, please help your staff with therapy. I will even pay for it. Goodbye.

I asked for 2 slices of lemon, (short blond waitress about 19 - 20 years give or take) response: you must ask at the bar. I approach the only gentleman behind the bar, which unkowingly to me sais he does not work there. Barlady then responds very sarcastically and completely out of line, " I have a lot of customers waiting in the line, you have to wait in the line". Guess what no one queueing in any line. No interpersonal skills, rude and bias. I wonder if it it's because I don't share the same race as her. What other explanation does one have when the person opposite you speaks down to you, and smiles at you while serving her regular customers without making an effort to serve you 2 slices of lemon with your beverages?

The experience overall is excellent, except for a particular bouncer. I was never in a bar, where a bouncer told me to take my feet off the bench while whatching the cricket. He told me if I don't want to take my feet off, then I must leave the place. Nowhere in the said place does it indicates to you that you MUST not put your feet on the bench while watching the TV, which is behind me.

It was our 1st time there and we were the only people of colour in the pub. We were told we broke two glasses and had to pay R20. I asked what glasses and demanded to see the boss he never came instead the bar lady came and gave us attitude and told us to **** off out of the pub. We are in 2017 and people are still living in the apartheid regime how disgusting.
