I am writing this complaint with a heavy heart, I took a funeral cover with Noko funerals hoping to get help from them in time of bereavement, I covered one of my relatives and he passed away on the 31st of January 2026, I was owing one month at Noko funerals and his wife had their undertaker so I claimed from Noko funerals as I have been paying them thinking that I will get money to assist with funeral arrangements, they started giving me excuses about my inception date saying that my inception date is on the 1st so I paid after inception date, I then sent them documents showing that my inception date is on the 6th, they then asked for all required documents and I sent them, few days later they requested that I give them a call, I did exactly that and they told me that they won't be able to give me money because I a owing 1 month yet the policy has not lapsed. I then asked the lady gore what was going to happen if I was the one who passed on, were they not going to bury me yet the policy is still active and she said yes they were not going to bury my corpse. I was hoping to get the little money from this policy even when they have deducted the money for 1 month that I owe and the penalties if possible!!! I am very heartbroken and disappointed!!!
