Complaint Summary: Unprofessional and unacceptable conduct by the owner, ***le, despite excellent staff. Details: Nova Boutique Hotel has capable, professional, and courteous staff who do their work well. Unfortunately, my experience was severely undermined by the conduct of the owner, ***le. While I was a paying guest, I was threatened with having the police called, referred to as a trespasser, and spoken to in a rude and degrading manner, including comments about how I “stand like I own the place.” These remarks were unprovoked and entirely inappropriate in a hospitality setting. Outcome: The owner’s behavior overshadowed what should have been a pleasant stay and negated the otherwise excellent service provided by the staff. As a result, I will not be returning and would caution others to be aware of this risk. Desired Resolution: Acknowledgement of the incident and a commitment to professional conduct towards all guests, regardless of race.

I am extremely disappointed with the way this business has handled my complaint. After receiving treatments that were well below standard, I raised my concerns directly with the owner in good faith. At the time, he acknowledged the issues, apologized, and confirmed that I would be given either a refund or a voucher. I made it clear that a voucher was not acceptable given the poor experience, and the owner initially agreed to process a refund. However, after weeks of delays and follow-ups, he has now completely changed his story — denying that any complaint was made on the day and accusing us of fabricating the entire ordeal. This is not only unprofessional but also deeply insulting. We tried to resolve this matter privately and amicably, but instead of honoring his own words, the owner has chosen to backtrack and dismiss our legitimate concerns. Businesses should take accountability when things go wrong, not gaslight their customers. I cannot recommend this establishment based on the dishonesty, lack of accountability, and poor customer service we experienced.
