I am lodging a formal complaint against Nova Pioneer regarding the handling of my bursary application and the conduct of administrative staff.
I was informed that the bursary decision would be made by a committee or individual based in Kenya, with feedback expected on Friday. However, after three days of attempting to obtain feedback from a staff member (Karabo) with no response, I followed up telephonically and contacted other departments.
During one call, I was informed that because I had contacted different departments, Karabo had been instructed to decline my bursary application. This raised serious concerns about procedural fairness, as the decision appeared to be linked to my follow-ups rather than the merits of my application.
I later spoke to Lerato Modise, who was unprofessional and disrespectful during the call, referring to me as “this one” while I was on the phone.
Shortly thereafter, I received confirmation that my bursary application had been declined. I am seeking clarity on whether the originally communicated decision-maker in Kenya provided the verdict and whether proper bursary procedures were followed.
I respectfully request an investigation into the fairness of the bursary process and the conduct of the staff involved. I am able to provide supporting documentation if required.
