I brought my weddings rings from NWJ. I have been share for branch that is open and cant find any. I need my rings to be cleaned, I went to other jewelry shop and they said they cant clean my rings because I brought them from another jewelry shop been NWJ. Is there no another place that I can go too. NWJ did not inform they customers any information about our stuff we brought from them. they are really bad.

We took my ring in for tje stone to be reset back in my diamond tanzinite ring. We never got a call back for the quote amount or sms. Got to Cape Gate doors were locked like realy locked. 2 Weeks later my husband got a call from Tygervalley branch if we still need it fixed he said offcourse so we tolk them the brackenfell branch is close. So they told him they are just locating everthing to tygervalley branch and will fixed it. Another 2 weeks past we decided to go to Tygervalley branch got there they were also locked down, went to ask American Swiss if they know what was going on they told u. NWJ is in liquodation. We tried calling Durban branch until today no luck they took my ring and i have just to accept this. We we went to ask them to fixed my ring they should gave know the are going to be liquidated as you have to apply 3 months before they should have told us. I am asking here were can i file for requesting my ring back or my money for the ring bought by them for R6500 less 50%. Or can i go to the papers?

I have full empathy for everyone affected by this traumatising experience. In March 2024 had my wedding ring sent in to the Clearwater Mall branch for the diamond to be secured as it was loose. After fruitless attempts at calling for a follow-up on return, I too was rattled at the sight of chains and locks on the doors at the store when I went in to query. I practically begged the centre management to please sift through the items to ensure that my wedding ring is not collected when the store gets cleared out, even sending pics of my wedding ring along with proof of purchase as well as the repair slip as proof of ownership. The store still had all its stock at the time. Sadly, the mall allowed the liquidators to take my ring along with its own assets in spite of my pleading. I feel sick in the stomach just typing this mail given its sentimental value, its MY wedding ring!! None of the referral numbers given by the centre manager have taken my calls or responded to messages since April 2024. How can my personal item form part of their liquidation process? Are we ever going to get our possessions back? Why has the sheriff of the court nor the liquidators had the courtesy of reaching out to owners to let them know what is going on. Anyone had any luck with getting their jewellery back?

I purchased earlier this year online but I have still not received the item. I was in contact with a lady named Melissa who was assisting me but she stopped reply to any emails. After the liquidation I did not receive any feedback from anyone I contacted. I then managed to get ahold of the liquidators and have been speaking to a lady named Laila, but she is also not taking any phone calls or answering any messages. This is extremely ridiculous. The companies in charge should atleast give us some feedback regarding purchases. At this moment is it basically like our money was ****** from us. Considering NWJ was such a reputable company, this is a complete dissapointment to all the customers that are still waiting for feedback.

I am frustrated, disappointed and just really angry I go engaged a while back and my Diamond kept on falling out of my Ring so it's been in for Repairs before this incident. Last year November 2023 I took my ring in for the 3rd time for the same thing the Diamond fell to Tygervalley Branch and we waited on a Quote but didn't receive anything so we checked what is happening the next thing we know is that NWJ had Liquidated with absolutely no warning to there clients very ********* and we then emailed and got told to contact the liquidation company my fiancé emailed this lady from "progressive" and received no feedback and she then told us that another liquidation company took over (This was in May 2024) I mean really this is absolute nonsense I found the other ladies details from the new liquidation company and I messaged her and she said she would find out for me (This was in June 2024) still no feedback I don't understand how people can work like this. Then I contacted a gentlemen (One of the regional managers) his the only one that has been the most helpful but didn't really help if that makes sense (This was in July 2024 ) he said all the items are with the Sheriff of the court but he can't give me the number - he then gave me another ladies number the Lady that's in charge of the Repairs in KZN this was also in July all she can say is she will give me feedback but once again I am still waiting and now we are in August 2024 - I am still in contact with regional manager i have asked him for anyone else that can assist me he has given me another ladies number she hasn't rep**** to me yet - This is just very frustrating my Ring is over 8years Old how can they hold something I bought 8yrs ago that is in for a Repair that has already been paid for in full

My wedding was in March and my wife and I purchased rings for the wedding from Nwj gateway, We sent our rings for resizing and upon receiving them we found that the diamonds were loose and fell out. We then sent it in again hoping to receive our rings before the wedding, but in a huge disappointment, we had to get married without having our initial rings purchased from NWJ. We have tried various ways in contacting NWJ with no positive feedback. Please can anyone provide some assistance to help us retrieve our rings.

like many others, i handed in my ring for repairs in March, was told they will replace it. Everytime I went to the store, manger was not there, then the doors was shut. no response to emails , or relevant store numbers or head office! Its clear they liquided ! How do we get hold of the liquidators? Any way we can recover our items?
