This was at the suncoast branch. Mouldy cake sold to me serious food safety concern and very disappointing. When I made the purchase, the cake slice was packed for me by your staff member while it was still on display. Unfortunately, because I was eating ice cream at the time, I did not inspect the slice before it was packaged. When I arrived home and attempted to eat it, I discovered visible mould on the top of the cake. I had already taken a bite before noticing this, as the mould was not immediately visible from the side. When I tired to reach out to the store there was no response via email or call.

Stopped for a post run breakfast date with my husband. Was a fairly quiet morning in the restaurant. I ordered the eggs Benedict which was prepared incorrectly...to the managers credit same was acknowledged and redone. Just took so long I was prepared to abandon it...rather visit the umhlanga branch

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Old Town Italy in Umhlanga, Durban, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience! The service was top-notch, thanks to the outstanding management of Kurt. His team was attentive, friendly, and ensured that our every need was met. The ambiance was warm and welcoming, making it the perfect spot for both personal and professional gatherings. In fact, I was so impressed that I've decided to make Old Town Italy my go-to venue for all my meetings whenever I'm in Durban. Kurt's leadership and dedication to excellence are evident in every aspect of the restaurant. He truly goes above and beyond to ensure that every guest feels valued and satisfied. If you're looking for a fantastic dining experience with exceptional service, look no further than Old Town Italy in Umhlanga. Ask for Kurt, and he'll take care of the rest! Well done, Kurt and the Old Town Italy team! I look forward to my next visit!

BAD DRINKS! RUDE MANAGER! Firstly I'd like to state that our waiter was fantastic and really tried to take care of us but...Firstly there was a meeting for waiters whilst the shop was open. We had to wander around trying to find a seat whilst there was a hostess who stood by another entrance (she could clearly see us). When we finally found a seat she came to us,gave us menus and told us there's only one waiter on the floor because there's a meeting we will have to wait (why is the shop open) Finally a waiter came to us,took our orders and came back with the worst drinks ever. Even after he went back to fix my ****tail it still was bad. I asked for the manager so I can communicate my frustration but she didn't attend to us throughout our whole stay of 2 hours, kept telling the waiter (3 times) to call her but she didn't come. I know she had time because I then saw her later standing around with colleagues chatting. When it was time to pay I said I'm not paying till I see the manager...she came with the most disgusting attitude ever! She is ****** and looks down upon black people. I have never been so disrespected in my entire life. My night was ruined and I am still upset even thinking about it. The only good thing was the pizzas and our waiter.

Constantia Branch Customer Service: 3/10 We had a waitor who had one of the worst energy's my family has ever experienced. He was sarcastic and not at all friendly in his approach when speaking to us. Our table greeted him but he just put the menus down. Might be customer profiling as the area is upmarket. We ordered a specific dish but got something else, we left it as we don't cause scenes. We mentioned that we're going inside to look for a bottle of wine as a gift and he was extremely sarcastic and rude and eventually gave us the go ahead, we found a bottle of wine to buy, he then said they don't sell wine because of a Liquor license issue. No sellers license in Constantia? Not sure how they missed that mark. Unpleasant experience, thank goodness the manager was friendly otherwise it would be a 0/10. Food: 7/10 All pasta dishes are out of this world and would highly recommend, pizza is mid. The old town white wine is a bit watered down. Good food experience but a tad overpriced, even in the luxurious Constantia.

I took my 78 year old Mom out for an early dinner, she is obviously a pensioner and insisted on paying. We decided to share a Pizza and have a Gin and Tonic each. We do not go out often, so we were excited to enjoy a nice evening. When the Pizza arrived, we were not given any plates. We had to ask for a plate each. When the bill arrived, it came to about R380 for one pizza and two Gin and tonics. Wow!!!!! After inspecting the bill, I realized that we had each been given double shots of gin, I asked the waitress why we were given doubles and she said that is how they serve it. Really??! Never had that happen before. Some of us save our hard earned money for special occasions, just because we dont order alot, doesnt mean we must be treated differently or not get a plate. Very dissapointing!

Called through 10 times but refused to answer, I have emailed and no response. Their waiter over charged my card and I only noticed once I got home, I was not going to drive back to Umhlanga for their mistake. on a side note, the chicken pasta was terrible, the chicken was not seasoned at all, you could taste the gaminess of the chicken, I had to remove the chicken and it became a mushroom pasta.
