I have used this dog food for a few years now. My dogs really enjoy it. Other family also use this dog food and all their dogs also enjoy it very much. The ingredients and quality are very good. It must be stored correctly ie in a big plastic sealed container, because it's not a hard dry food. It does have a bit of moisture. I recommend it for my precious GSDs.

Do not feed your dogs this food! Mouldy foul smelling food Inconsistent coloring of pellets No control over the manufacturing process Whole pieces of corn embedded in the pellets Labrador lost hair that fell out in clumps on back legs Please Do Not Buy This Food

Terrible, do not poison your dogs with this food. I did a lot of research before deciding to buy Omega because there is less 'crude' in it. Unless you can fit a 20kg bag of Omega in your fridge, it goes mouldy jn the bag. My dogs experienced all sorts of terrible symptoms!! STAY AWAY FROM IT, THERE IS A REASON VETS DON'T RECOMMEND THIS DREADFUL DOG FOOD!!!!!

My 7 year old Border Collie was on the omega Classic dog food for 3 years. we recently bred with her and she had 7 beautifull puppies. During this time I put her on royal Canine mommy and puppy and puppy to give the puppies the best start in life. all were healthy and looked great. her coat was shiny and she was healthy. then after the puppies left for the respective home I put her back on the Omega and bought a pricey 20kg bag of Premium. thinking the premium is obviously better than the classic and wanting to give my dog the best. a few weeks on the premium all her hair was falling out. she was thin and her coat was dull. her eyes were red and she was scratching an itch every day(NO FLEAS) so I contacted the company that makes Omega dog food and at first she was interested in my ordeal and wanted me to keep her posted as to my dogs condition after I changed her food. once I had her back on the classic her coat started to grow back instantly and it was sof t hair that was growing back. when I contacted the ********** again the response was very different. she denied the food to be the cause and said I can happily feed it to my dog again as it will not do any harm. I even sent her dated photos of my dogs condition. I wil NOT put my dog through that again. Essentially she is telling me to "poison" my dog further to prove a point. also do I now donate this 8kgs I have left to a welfare knowing it might be bad for another dog? that was her other suggestion. they also do not even want to replace my purchase or collect the remaining food to test as it is just blatantly not their food. She has stopped replying to emails and I have found another person who had the same experience with two jack russels that had to go on cortisone after batches of hair fell out.. So caution to all dog owners out there considering Omega for your dogs. do not buy the premium or watch your dogs conditions very carefully. They WILL not test the food or try find out why this is happening. My dog is still on the classic and is doing well on it for now. but im disgusted to their attitude towards this incident and the lack of interest. this is after all a product marketed to dogs. and had a bad effect on a dog. so it should be worth investigating a bit further. especially since I paid almost R700 for this food and then incurred vet bills for it as well. least they can do is show some interest.
