******, *******!!! Orbipex solar!
****mers. *******!!! I still have in my possession the 2nd hand battery James sold and installed as new. Non-functionimg. I waited for James for months to correct this, but he has not! I looked up the other 2 directors, both were unwilling to take responsibility for the mess James created! Blue Nova reported the 'new battery' they sold me had bern discontinued 6+years ago, and yes... It obviously doesn't function.

Best Solar Installer! My experience of Orbipex Solar exceeded my expectations, not only were they professional and honest about the technical details but also punctual and very helpful throughout the installation process. Highly recommended.

Bad and unreliable service delivery
Worst company to do Buisiness with. James Mkweu is a lyer , unreliable and dishonest. I had a solar system installed by him in January. I have been having problems with the batteries from word go. Have been battling to get him back. He makes promises which he does not keep. He tried to sell me used batteries as new to upgrade his defunct system. Also the COC he issues is not valid. He uses a guy named Mahada ‘s certificate which is not valid. He is not qualified to do electrical work. Please be wary of this Company DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES USE THEM

Stay away from Orbipex Solar
They installed **** Canadian panels and even those were installed incorrectly. They also tried to issue a **** CoC, but I was able to verify before they left. They did not install a BMS cable so I pay more now with a solar system than I did before because of lack of communication between an inverter and the battery. The installation was done on the 3rd of January in Sandton, but up to now June 2023 they have been promising to come and fix, but nothing. I now have to overhaul the system and invest in a system with people who know what they are doing. I will open a case as well for misrepresentation and counterfeit goods.

Beware of solar installers and their promises
A very bad experience with Orbipex Solar and owner/electrician James Mkweu. The solar off grid installation was done on Thursday and the solar panel installation team had no supervision and damaged my ceiling due to knocking on the roof tiles. Also not happy with the cabling from the panels to the inverter as rain can run into the ceiling as the pipe where the cabling runs through is not sealed. The earth Leakage switch is now tripping and the switches that he bypassed from the inverter, that will only use eskom are now tripping as well. His aftersales service is non-existent and the constant excuses that he is on the way, will be there shortly, etc are all lies. We made the mistake of paying the full invoice amount after completion of the installation as he promised to bring the COC certificate the next day - still waiting and I now wonder if he is even qualified to issue such a certificate, which we paid for and is charged for on the invoice. Please be very careful when choosing a solar installer - it is so difficult to find the right one and James was the only one from 7 that we contacted, who came to do a site inspection and give us a fair quote. All the others we contacted have not replied. We chose him because his first impression was good and he knows his stuff, but time management and aftersales service are non-existent.
