02/04/2025 I ordered a 5L box of wine via uber eats from Overland Liquors, Kingsley Depot in Johannesburg, the wine is expired n not consumable, has color discoloration, looks musty, smells and tastes like premium vinegar. I wrote to help from the uber account, its crickets, silence

I ask the guy unpacking the liqour to get me a price on a 6 pack cans of Belgravia gin and dark cherry. He went to ask the lady at the till and said it is R95-00. I took a 6 pack and went to pay. At the till the lady scan the barcode ( on the printed barcode the prize was R95-00 ). The computer then show a message " warning this is the cost price " . The supervisor told me that the price should be R135-00. I told her that I made double sure of the price and she must give it to me on the price as seen on the barcode. She then phone someone and let me stand there without an explanation. After about 5 minutes an lady come and said to me " I know you " I rep**** yes because I have been a customer there since they opened the store. I explain everything again and she refused blatanly to sell the liqour to me for that price. She said they are busy putting the right price on the computer. When I ask them why the till lady have a barcode pricelist saying it is R95 , they couldn't answer me. They refuse to help me and I left the store. Hort

My experience was very bad, I don't see myself going to that store ever ever again. I went to Overland store here in Ventersdorp, when I got the there I saw an adverti*****t that took my eye. Windhoek Lager 440ml x 24 on special R150 per case. So I decided not to take that one and went for the one that was in the fridges. But when I got there I saw something strange. The alcohol next to the entrance is R150, but the one in fridge is R369. When I enquired was told that one of R150 is actually expired and the one of R369 is still fine. So quiried that as it was the same brand, same size and all that and was refused to pay R150 for the one that was not expired. So I was forced to pay for the one expired, and I refused. And for doing that I was chased out of the store. So I want to know from you guys (Overland) is it something that do to your customers. Sell them expired goods? Is this your way of showing us that just because we are black, we are dogs, expired alcohol are meant us? Is this within your company policy that blacks should be given expired alcohol and if they stand up for what is right you chase them out? How is this making sense that something expired should be sold? You guys suck, and this isn't right at all. Fix yourself and stop giving people expired things at a lower prices?

The shop owner sent his cashier out to my car to call me back after they had picket up that their pricing on an item was incorrect. I had already left and packed my items in my vehicles boot to leave the parking lot. They made me come back into the shop and wanted me to bring back the items I bought. I stood in the shop while ppl looked at me as if I had been shoplifting. The owner was rude telling me the price on the item was incorrect on which I told him I paid what the lady rang up at the pay point, he made me return to my vehicle to fetch the items to give it back. He also did not want me to leave and I told him that it's their internal issue and I need to leave, he needs to either give the items to me at the purchased price or take the items back. He then refunded me the money on which he made another error, he then grabbed the money from my hand and shoved back what he felt was the correct amount. I was humiliated and treated like a ********. What he needed to do is take responsibility for him loading the price incorrectly at some point when he booked in the stock. Instead he carried on in front of customers in the shop, I will never return. This was a very distasteful and rude way of treating a customer. being a regular customer of the shop and also in the past referring ppl to the shop, I would've imagined the situation to be handled different. This is the overland liquor at the K90 in the East Rand, Boksburg. The most unprofessional customer service I have ever had to deal with.

We visited Overland Tileba on 24 January to buy some thirst quenchers on a scorching hot day. The store was bustling and stocked to the fill, I mean, even stacked in the aisles. The lady in the store was extremely helpful and gladly fetched the liquor I could not find from where it was stashed underneath heaps of others. She even helped me carry all my items to the till chatting and joking along. The gentleman behind the till was just as friendly and talkative, serving me with pleasure. Once more, my purchases were eagerly carried outside to my car and they left me with good wishes as I pulled off. Now that is what I call service excellence!!

On Saturday, my uncle went to buy a case of the castle and was turned away by a man who works was standing at the door. He told my uncle that he must not bring dusty bottles they must be washed with soap and 100% clean. I then went to hear what the problem and I were told the same he refused to take them telling us SAB has told them they don't want dirty bottles. I am still disgusted that is not customer service. This happened at 14 Gold street Carletonville.
