I am writing to share my experience of the third time that I have been in the unlucky position to get a substandard product from the Oxford Waterfall store. On Wednesday 4 February I bought milk that already started going off yesterday, 5 February. At first I thought I was imagining it, but this morning I could not even finish my tea, because of the foul taste. The best before date is the 7th of February. When I bought the milk, the store employee was busy unpacking it, so I am really surprised that it has gone off so quickly. From the store I went straight home and put the milk in the fridge. My two previous bad experiences came in November 2025 with a sour milk tart and earlier in the year with a bunny chow from the hot food section that made me sick. After sending an e-mail in November 2025, I got a response which suspiciously sounded like it was AI-generated. When I sent an e-mail in December to ask for a follow-up, I was ignored. What is going on at the Waterfall store? Are they putting out old stock and hoping nobody would notice? Once again I am in the position where it is not worth my petrol money to drive back to the store for a replacement. I am just hoping for a more genuine response this time and some sort of solution.

Just before or on the 3rd of every month oxfords prices spike. Oxford are taking the vulnerable to the cleaners. I bought carrots today that were black with mold when i got them home. Oxford will never see me again, i would rather pay more and get FRESH PRODUCE.

Taking Christmas price gouging to new heights - way to go Oxford! The price of pickled tongue was R69.00/kg on 7 Dec,. Today, on 9 Dec, it is suddenly R120/kg! Wow, nearly double - but thank you for your concern about the community dear Oxford - your PR efforts are noted...

My experience with Oxford Freshmarket was extremely disappointing. I sent multiple emails and direct messages starting Monday, but they ignored all my attempts to communicate. When I finally called, they told me Vanessa would call me back she never did. On top of that, the manager, Mmeli Khoza, was shockingly rude and dismissive, showing zero professionalism. This treatment caused me unnecessary stress and frustration. I do not recommend their service at all

I would like to lay a complaint about Oxford fresh market I have purchased meat items last week Friday and when I got home to cook it, it was off I did contact Oxford and to date I have not received feedback from them it's so disappointing because we had running tummies and I am not the only one who has had this problem with Oxfords meat products

On Sunday the 30 March 2025 we decided to spend the day at the beach. We stopped at Oxford Bluff to buy some of their famous burgers. The guy cooking them said we needed to pay inside the bottle store. I took my 10 yr old daughter with me to pay when the security guard caused a scene saying she must wait outside.. in the sun by herself. Then the cashier is yelling at me saying she needs a ticket of the food order.. which the burger man didn't give me. After telling my daughter to stand in the sun by herself the security guard says oh she can go in with you.. Eventually with all the chaos and confusion there were 2 managers there and neither could sort the issue out.. we ended up leaving Oxford bluff disappointed and burgerless.. I won't be supporting Oxford Bluff ever again.

I love going to Oxford fresh market on the Bluff. I do most of my shopping there, and a special thanks to one of their staff members... It would not be the same without him. Sabelo thanks for always being willing to help, I really appreciate hisvhelp. He has been helping me over 3 years, packing my pet food when ever I ask. They have great prices, always.

Did a purchase on the 9th and the speed point had some technical/software error. The transaction was successful however on the 11th my account was debited again. My bank referred me back to Oxford and Hoosen Khan was such a wonder! He explained what the problem was and he promised to get back to me with feedback and he did exactly that! I got my money back! Great customer service is not promised nowadays but Mr Khan is always trying his best whenever I visit Oxford. He manages cashiers productivity and availability, we do not wait for too long in queues.
