I previously owned a fixed pangolin gun safe. When I sold the vehicle I left the safe installed in the vehicle for the new owner. I would give the fixed safe a 5 star rating. On the purchase of a new vehicle I had the moveable version of the safe fitted thinking that I could later have a wall bracket fitted in the house so that the safe could be transferred with weapon inside to a fixing plate on the wall close to my bed. (my gun safe is in a different room) Problems I have found with the moveable safe I have are : 1. The safe does not lock tightly on the fixing plate. It is tight enough I guess but there is some movement which gives the impression that it is not as secure as the fixed version. 2. The locking mechanism is not as smooth as the fixed safe I had and finally it is not a practical safe for fitting on a wall as the firearm stores upright and can easily fall to the floor when opening. It was probably designed (and is more suitable) for gun owners that have more than one vehicle.
