Stolen cellphone
I went to check in at the park lodge hotel and apartments in pretoria cbd on Friday 22 October 2021 at 15:00 with my partner and our check out was on sunday 24 October 2021 at 11Am, so what happened is that on Saturday 23 October 2021 at 19:20 we went out to have dinner and my phone(HUAWEI P30 LITE) was battery low then i decided to leave it on charge then we went out and came back at around past 11 pm and when we got in to our room we realized that something was wrong since some of the stuff was not where we left them and then immediately i went to check if my phone was fully charged only to find out that it was not there,we both panicked and started looking around then we went to the bathroom and the bathroom messy and showing that someone came in through the bathroom's window and left it wide open with lotions and towels on the floor. We then went to report the matter to the security and they went to check what happened and they took photos and said to us that we should not worry because there are cameras so they will review them on Sunday morning then we slept and on Sunday morning we went to the reception and we were transferred to mr maela the general manager of the hotel who said to us that the person who works with the cameras will report on duty on monday the 25th October 2021 so they will check what happened and then give me a call,he assured me that he will get to the bottom of this matter since it's the incident to happen ever since they were operating and i had faith in him then on monday they called and said to me that the cameras did not review anything so they are still going to check again and they will call me back,they called me again today on Wednesday 27 October saying to me that the cameras were not operating from the side where the incident happened and they unfortunately cant help me and i asked if they still have the pictures thet they took and they said no.

Cold showers and a sleepless night!!
Visited the hotel 2021/08/27 and there were people who made a noise 2 doors down from the room I was in. They were 5 occupying a 2 sleeper room, drunk and disorderly. Security was called 2 times but when they left those people just kept on making a noise and worse they had had a portable speaker and played music very loudly till 5:00am the next morning. Security did nothing about it!!! The worst was that from the time of checking in till check out the was no hot water. I showered with cold water that evening and in the morning I called reception and they promised to send a maintanance guy to come up and check what was wrong, instead a lady that introduced herself as the housekeeping supervisor came opened the tap for close to 10 minutes but still the water was cold then she said it’s “Sunday the maintenance guys phone is off and she’s not sure if he will come in” It was another cold shower for me again!!!! The bed was made up only with 2 sheets and a blanket in between. Not a duvet or a at least a comforter. It was so irritating fixing and trying to keep everything on. On checking out I requested to speak to the manager and I was told that the manager was in a meeting and will be back after 12:00, I can wait which I decided against because I had other commitments for the day. I got a call around 14:00 from reception saying the manager is not in still and sends their apology but will call me around 18:00, as if.... Till now I have not heard anything from the manager!

Not good hotel
The park lodge hotel in pretoria was nice when they were opening it. my fist time experience was Amazing. Now going for the second lastyear 2020, it was horrible :(!! Upon check in our room was not ready, we were asked to wait a bit housekeeping is still busy in our room,we did not have water, electricity kept going and coming back, there was noise from Nigerian guys next to our room, the blankest were dirty, there were cigarettes' smell in the couri door, breakfast was pricy but very bad. I regret going there again and me and my husband felt unsafe. Can remember the reception name but she was nice

Not good hotel
The park lodge hotel in pretoria was nice when they were opening it. my fist time experience was Amazing. Now going for the second lastyear 2020, it was horrible :(!! Upon check in our room was not ready, we were asked to wait a bit housekeeping is still busy in our room,we did not have water, electricity kept going and coming back, there was noise from Nigerian guys next to our room, the blankest were dirty, there were cigarettes' smell in the couri door, breakfast was pricy but very bad. I regret going there again and me and my husband felt unsafe. Can remember the reception name but she was nice

No Trust .!
Park Lodge Hotel, your receptionists can never be trusted with our own bank cards. Last night (02/08/2018) I checked in at the hotel just after 18:30, I paid with my bank card and I didn’t get my card back, the receptionist claimed that she gave it back but she didn’t and her colleague had the guts to ask her in front of me in her language if she took the card. This girl actually thought I would leave without realizing that I didn’t get my card back. Anyway long story short, I decided to stop my card to avoid fraudulent transactions from going off my account.....but hey guess what, an hour later after stopping my card, the security was sent up to my room to give back my card with no apology or explanation from that receptionist. I’m very disappointed ???
