Good Day
On the 10th of May 2019 my daughter went in for surgery on her broken ankle. After surgery Paul Hoepfl & Kriek based in Hillcrest KZN who supply Orthotics & prosthetics supplied my daughter with a moon boot which she needed to wear for six weeks which was billed to my medical aid. I have just received a phone call from their accounts lady in March 2021 informing me that medical aid did not pay in full. I informed this very rude lady that I was not aware of this and why had I not been contacted in 2019 where I could of claimed off my Gap Cover to be told by her that she wasn't working for them and she does not know why. I then told her I suggest she write off this amount of R3000.00 as I would not be paying it due to there incompetence. She has since handed my daughter who is 21 years of age over to Lexmed. I refuse to pay this amount based on principle as to how may other people is this done to. Please note as of to date 18 June 2021 I have yet to receive an Invoice or statement of account for this moon boot which was supplied in May 2019 and Lexmed are charging my daughter interest for an amount she should not be liable for and all I get from Lexmed are weekly sms's threatening to blacklist my daughter for a Companies incompetence. My question is how do we as individuals except this and how can we blacklist these companies.
