Honestly so hard for me write this. I’ve used PayStack for a while. I’ve been in the e-commerce space for half a decade now and my business operates in 6 countries, I’ve used Stripe, Shopify payments, PayFast, Peach Payments, Flutterwave, IKhokha, Yoco, I’ve use them all. When it comes to the platforms main purpose itself, there is NONE better than PayStack. PayStack offers many payment methods and has very quick payouts which make it easier to grow and to scale my business. I’ve referred dozens of agency clients and any person that has asked me for a good processor for their business. My problem (and many other people I know have this exact same problem) is that PayStack does not know how to deal with issues in a timely manner. Every single time there is an issue, the customer support team can’t solve it. All they can do is ask another department and give you feedback once they get it, which can take super long. You’ll find that your payout is on hold because of a minor issue that should really not take longer than a few hours to solve. PayStack, in years of experience with them, just cannot solve issues quickly. All issues need to be dragged along and it’s only when you persistently follow up that it’s taken serious. I’ve seen this many times before and it just seems like something that’ll never change. I write this review right now because once again, this problem has returned. I honestly do not give any business bad reviews because as a business owner myself, I know how hard it is to run a tight ship but in this case, my business relies on PayStack to operate in South Africa. My current problem is shocking. I refunded a customer 5 Days ago and yet my business had a hold placed on it because of this transaction. I continued with operations assuming that they’d fix it. Minor hiccups happen of course. But now because of a problem I SOLVED on my side, I am now being put on hold and have had to use a spare processor account I have with PayFast and not received my payouts from PayStack because they have an ENTIRE DEPARTMENT that can’t process a refund for 5 DAYS? This honestly isn’t on. As a loyal user, I am going to stay on but I genuinely ask that this constant issue with addressing problems us merchants have is fixed because we are small businesses that rely on our payouts. We simply can’t survive and beat our competitors if our payment processor can’t deal with minor issues like mine in a swiftly manner.

Pay stack has been holding our payouts for over 4 weeks . Our small organisation used their platform because we had an understanding that payments have a lead period of T+1 or T+2 which seemed viable . Queries via their help desk take unnecessarily long to be attended to and it has wholly affected the flow of work in our organisation

Our payouts have been on "Pending" for 10 days now and we've had to halt sales. Is there anyone who has been assisted with a situation like ours? We'd appreciate any help. Our company has only just begun selling online, growing from physical sales and what was supposed to be exciting has become somewhat scary. I'd love to rate them higher but this is concerning for growing businesses with tight daily overheads.

Firstly the activation was extremely slow. Then when you have a foreigner as support, make sure their accent does not interfere with their explanations as my Nigerian support staff was difficult to follow when we were online. I think the final straw for me was getting a list of things they could not find on my website and then when I told them Idont have a website, I was informed that when I get a website I need a whole lot of things on it. I have no intention of getting a website, so then they can take their service and I want nothing to do with them.

Paystack has an online onboarding approval process (ID, bank statement, proof of residence, etc. — all extremely sensitive information) which I passed 100%. However, instead of approving me, their staff personally overrode the automated approval and refused to complete it. Instead, they sent me an email buried among the rest of their unsolicited spam — emails I never agreed to receive. By pure chance I saw it. In that email, they suddenly demanded a website in order to approve my account, claiming it was part of their onboarding process. If it is part of onboarding, why is it NOT in the actual online onboarding system? This is clearly a blatant lie and the most ridiculous requirement I have ever seen. You are a financial service — my website is none of your business. They have already seen my ID and know that I am a white male, and based on my experience, they are now acting in a ****** and discriminatory manner — dodging and deflecting the approval process for that reason, even after I supp**** this pointless information twice.

This company has a **** company LearniGo - a merchant using their app for payment. I made a purchase through Paystack app to LearniGo, I have had no feedback, all emails have been returned to me and they are uncontactable. I emailed Paystack and received a response " Thank you for providing these details and for reaching out to Paystack with this issue! This transaction was indeed successful and you should receive value for it. Please reach out to the LearniGo team by sending a mail to learnigo321@gmail.com with this reference number for help in finding that transaction: rm3Jzir9NA3zfhkCQXz2cuy42 I have also copied them in this email so they can have more context on the situation. Please let me know if there's anything else I can do to help and I'll be happy to help! Have a lovely day!" The response is of no help at all and despite emailing Paystack ***** department, I yet to receive a resonse. I only purchased from LearniGoy because it was done through Paystack as I was under the impression that you vetoed all their merchants. I am clearly mistaken and will never use their services again. Sadly this company cannot be trusted to ensure that their merchants are legitimate.
