I attempted to purchase a laptop and requested immediate delivery and paid for such. Upon going to collect the device, the final invoice showed a warranty period of 1 yr. As opposed to the 3 yr warranty period that was displayed on the website and on the proforma quote that was sent to me. Upon seeing this i enquired as to the discrepancy, to which the sales rep Anthony, didnt offer any apology or admission of an error on the part of PC international for false advertising or quotation, he simply said oh it was incorrect and he can quote me for the extra 2 yr warranty or offer full refund. The manager further did not take any responsibility for the false advertising and rather deflected with statements such as takealot and amazon also have errors on their website, and that they copy information from other sites directly, as though they do not have an obligation to chrck the information they are publishing. I asked for a refund with immediate payment as i had done an immediate payment, to which the rep agreed. Then after waiting for proof of payment for an hour, they say that they understood that an immediate payment meant it must be done today and not on a friday which is their usual refund day (I suppose it is telling that they have a day allocated to refunds), as though I was not explicitly clear that I requested an immediate payment im the banking sense of the word. Things did get heated and we apologized for words that had been said. But all in all I think that they were incredibly unprofessional, and shirked any responsibility for the deceit.
