PDM AFRICA SAYS : YOUR PROBLEM REMAINS YOUR PROBLEM
During May 2018 we had a new system installed for our CCTV Cameras inside and outside our home by this company. At first, their work was excellent, and we were quite satisfied, however, during July our problems started, when the cameras were male functioning. An argument was needed, in order to get the cameras going again and for the owner of the business, to fix the problem. According to him, it turned out to be my mistake, since I ordered the wrong equipment!! I have NO knowledge in this field, and merely ordered the LTE router that was suggested!! This was wrong, since the signal was to weak, an so, we had to pay for a CAT5 UTP Cable, which by the way, was only delivered to our premises!! My husband had to lay the cable himself! And guess what? We had to pay the call out fee for the service!! At the end of October, it was the same problem! The cameras were not working again, an ANOTHER call out fee had to be paid. During December, we noticed, that AGAIN the cameras were not functioning and reported the matter during the second week of January 2019, when we returned home from East Africa. Now there was an excuse that one invoice was not paid, and although I did not agree with the invoice, I paid the outstanding amount. When I phoned Mr. Gibson to enquire when the cameras will be fixed, he told me that we can wait for two weeks, until he is finished with his BIG project at the American Embassy!! When I enquired if he could not send somebody out to our premises to fix the cameras, he said that all his personnel are busy, and that we just have to wait!! When I got upset with him, and said that I cannot accept his ignorance towards us, he said that he will not argue with me, and through the phone in my ear!!! So much for the R11764.01 that we paid until today, for cameras at our residence that are not working properly!! And STILL, the problem remains that of the client. The supplier can do whatever he wants, your problem remains just that ….. YOUR PROBLEM!!
