1 star food, 1 star amenities in hotel that advertises (and charges) as 5 star. Booked for my husband’s birthday and was terrible start to finish. In room TV didn’t work (World Cup soccer on) and 5 hours later still no help, no technician, nothing. Tried to order room service only to be told that our menu choices were unavailable. Didn’t even have vanilla ice cream?! Same at breakfast in the new Reign restaurant. No pressed juices at breakfast?! Had to ask someone to take our order after waiting 15 minutes to be served. 45 minutes later our smashed avo on toast arrived - 3 tiny dollops of avo from a tube, a few crumbles of feta that was meant to be ‘feta mousse’ and 2 cold, rock hard fried eggs that were meant to be soft poached. Sent it back and checked out hungry. ****** awful experience 😡

What a poor excuse for a 5 star hotel. Not sure if the rating system is different for certain areas or provinces, but in Cape Town this would be a 3 star hotel. Food is sub standard, chefs have no creativity and food is bland. Rooms are tiny and have nothing to write home about, Marriott 3 star hotels have much more to offer. Arrived at 14h00 and room was ready at 15h30, called room service 16 times with no answer, called reception 6 times with no answer. When food arrives it was covered with foil, a first for me from a 5 star hotel. Service not that of a 5 star establishment. Tourism board should consider reviewing this establishments 5 star rating. Extremely disappointed.

Comfortable hotel, check in very efficient and rooms are nice. Just avoid Aurelias restaurant unless you don’t mind waiting 25 minutes for someone to serve you and a further 30 minutes for a basic breakfast to arrive. This is now the 4th or 5th time where I have had to continually get up and request service, first for coffees, then for honey and finally for the breakfast order. It is so disappointing that such shoddy service is allowed by the management.

Comfortable hotel, check in very efficient and rooms are nice. Pathetic service received at this hotel at emperors...the most expensive hotel at emperors..but digusting service...my husband paid for our night stay on their card machine and there was a problem with the machine it did not go through on their side...but on his account it went off...more than an hour it took to get resolved...pathetic..the acting manager thandi could not even assist ...they kept us waiting for so long...she was on the phone with the bank on speaker phone ...and all other guests could hear the private conversation..we showed them the message that the funda went off ..it was not good enough..kept us standing for such a long time and no remorse We asked her for the manager she said he went home..so I told her call him back because His still on the premises...and he Did not come back...that was the Indian manager..I'm so disgusted at the service...what we expected to be a good afternoon and evening...turned out to be an absolutely frustrating one...I would never go back there...we were treated as if we would run away from them without paying...

Got to the hotel with a group of 6 people. We booked 3 rooms. Upon arrival there was no concierge to assist with the bags. We had to each carry 2 of own bags up to the room. Upon opening the room door. The room was full of flies and insects. We called up senior management and they tried to avoid the matter by spraying toxic sprays and killing the flies. With a 2 months old baby. I refused to sleep in a room with that spray all over. I demanded for our room to be changed, we received rooms 4 hours later. Almost after 7 hours of traveling we were stranded for a further 5 hours till we got our room. At around 9:40pm we requested water from house keeping which was only received at 11:45 after calling them 6 times and eventually fighting with the assistant in charge. The staff have arrogant attitude and a lesson needs to be thought to this hotel by shutting them down

Hi this has been the worst stay I ever had.first of all the pool is out of order they have been cleaning glass for the last 2 days paid money for nothing. They took 1 and half hours with our breakfast while continuingly asking for a baby chair which they brought after my kids ate and my wife's omllete had hair in it which they are still denying.one of the worst stays I have ever experienced 5 star hotel for nothing this has been a waste of my money

???? THEY DESTROYED MY BRIDE ON HER WEDDING NIGHTj, (the short version) I walked into a suite that was suppose to make my Brides evening Beautiful and romantic as she deserved nothing less then a perfect evening after a perfect day and when we walked in there at 2am the place was a nightmare everything in the room was left half eaten the bed was not made the room was upside down empty bottles in the room used glass and not a single peace of cutlery. Now imagine the look on her face?? and how it Destroyed me inside knowing how she feels inside that this perfect day has to end like this. There is absolutely no excuse for this and nothing they can do to ever bring back that moment that they so knowingly Destroyed. I have never been so disappointed in my life. I gave them 3 days to come back to me as i am flying back to Capetown Tomorrow and i have had 1 call from them with no feedback only Questions.?? I am furious and i want to know what are they doing to sort this out coz only a miracle can bring back what they took away from her. I will complete the review later with more terrifying details. I WILL GLADLY REMOVE THIS REVIEW IF BY ANY MIRACLE THEY CAN FIX THIS

I made a reservation and specifically called to ensure that the bath would be separate from the shower as my husband had major surgery to his leg. When we were shown to our room we found that it was not the case. I requested a different room that caused a delay and in turn my husband was late for a very important interview. Later that afternoon when we wanted to use the shower before another appointment we found the water pressure to be non existing. I had to assist my husband in the bath and again we were late. How is this possible seeing that this is a 5 star hotel?
