I'm highly disappointed with how the company dealt with the loss of items. I paid for storage and delivery on time even when the initial delivery price went from R16 000 to R18 950. When reporting to the company about my lost items which were gift sets and Cape Town themed tshirts worth approximately R2000 and not more. I was told that their employees never take anything and that I signed that my goods were received. There was no way of I could have opened plastic bags and boxes that were more than 20 to check if every single thing I packed was there. I made the discovery of the lost items while unpacking. I also dont like how they marked my furniture with stickers that wont come off easily especially on wooden furniture, especially on my wooden furniture. I disappointed in how they handled the loss of my items. These items were not worth alot but they were gifts with sentimental value. They negotiated to pay me R800 and I'm disappointed in that they made it seem as if they are doing me a favour and also made me doubt even having had the gifts as part of the items they handled. I would recommend for people to take pictures of the items they pack, the bags and boxes they pack them in and to have a personal detailed list of everything because the record of the number of bags and boxes noted will not be enough to report a loss to the moving company.

THIEVES EMPLOYED HERE UNDER THE GUISE OF MOVERS. You used to be good...now you're a transport company moving your thieving staff from home to home...and you know it too!! Boxes and drawers where opened on route and at the final destination with nearly all jewelry removed from their individual containers. One half of many sets of earrings, sentimental value, now useless because your teams can't even steal those properly! But you've stolen one, so the rest are useless to us now... Karma will get you all...

I used Peter’s Removals to help with my moving from my old house to the new house, which is in the same road. When booking with Peter’s their secretary asked to take my inventory list telephonically so they can know what size truck to bring on the day. My list was fairly large and I reconfirmed prior to the day of moving if I will be getting a truck. When my moving day came which was Sunday 2nd August 2020, they arrived 2 hours late, with that been said my booking was for 10am and they arrived at 12pm. The company did not call me on their own to inform me of the delay, I had to call them once I noticed it was past 10am and nobody has arrived. When the movers arrived at 12pm, only to be more disappointed as they arrived with a bakkie van and a trailer which was attached. When I asked where’s the truck, the man in charge seemed confused and stated “ our previous customer also said they were expecting a truck”. Due to the fact I had to move out of my previous house by the 2nd August, I just allowed the guys to move my stuff, so we could get it over with ASAP. So Peter’s Removals had charged me R3500 for a truck to move my load a few houses away and sent a bakkie and refuses to take any responsibility for overcharging me, misleading me and refuses to refund me atleast 30% back. After 3 trips and a couple damaged boxes later, I contacted the company to complain on the same Sunday 2nd August Afternoon , where they said their secretary will contact me on Monday and that never happened. Only for me to complete unpacking Monday morning and notice my jewelry was missing, and I last saw it the Sunday morning before the movers arrived at my old house . The company will not take responsibility for the jewelry because they make you sign a paper before they start moving your stuff, that they will not be responsible for a list of items. However I opened a case against their staff who helped move my stuff and had them arrested. Throughout this process, not once did the company give a call to show any compassion as their customer, even though I did not try to fight them against paying for my stolen jewelry. I have never experienced such unprofessionalism from any company before, they don’t respect or value their customers and when I called them on Thursday 6th August they denied ever telling me I was getting a truck to remove my stuff.

Hi dearest Peter and family I hope the circumstances we are under lately that you are able to assist people accordingly and take things to assist you accordingly. Maybe now you will feel how it feels for having your precious goods stolen and taken from you. I will still pray for your business

I would never ever recommend or use Peter's Removals & storage in my life. We received the worst service ever from them. We paid for packing and unpacking of our 4 bedroom house. 1. they did not pack up a room at a time, so in every single room in my house there was stuff that wasn't packed. 2. when they unpacked at the new house the just opened cupboards and threw our stuff in wherever, nothing was packed in the cupboards nicely. 3. Some boxes only had 1 or 2 items in with a lot of packing space still left so there was no reason for them not to pack all our things. 4. Because they did not pack everything we had to make a plan with bags and stuff to get the last of our stuff packed. 5 Also due to them not packing properly they could not fit our stuff in the truck so WE had to pay EXTRA for them to do a second load. This experience dealing with this company has been really bad for us. As far as I go i notice more and more stuff that is missing.

Today is the second last day of 2019, thank you to all the individuals who has taken, stolen, broken and damaged our livelihood, taken our groceries, our jewelry, our clothing, our perfumes, our shoes, basically our whole household and our most precious belongings. May you all have a good 2020 knowing what you have done, because as I am typing here it is not going to be forgotten, as I serve a living God. May you all be happy and may all of yours future be blessed.

Today, a day before Christmas 2019 and want to say a big thank you to those who took my stuff, to be sold, to be given to others, to be re-wrapped, to be whatever, but please do not forget that our God does not sleep. This is the worst Christmas ever in my whole life, you worked and prayed so hard for things, just to be taken away by others. Well, those others, I do hope you going to have a blessed Christmas, sure to say you will, knowing how much people you have hurt and destroy. Father in heaven please help me to forget and forgive them but the pain is too much, I don't deserve this, I did not harm anybody.
