Called in via the call centre to get a quote on aluminium doors and windows. Was told to email my requirements, which I did, and was then told that someone would contact me. After waiting 5 hours, I called again and was again told to email in my requirements, to which I again emailed my window and door schedule (with sizes) and asked to be emailed a quote. 1 week later I get a call back to ask if someone has attended to me. Absolutely shocking service. If PG Aluminium cannot assist me by being put through to someone who can help me immediately then they shouldn't be in the aluminium game. Have used another supplier as this kind of shoddy service will only filter through to the installation.

Inso was appointed by PG Aluminium Head Office to do repairs at our house in Midrand. They send their technician who got all scope of work and they returned with a quotation which required 50% deposit and balance on completion. We waited for about 2 weeks a day before the scheduled date they decided to request balance of payment before any work was done. And initially they started by saying our kitchen door was not quoted properly it was suppose to be a new door and they had quoted only parts of the door which contradicted with their Technician that came who even confirmed in writing to us that all information was given to Charmain to quote properly, we told them to remove the door and continue with the rest. A week later after submitting a revised quote without the kitchen door, they decided to dump our project and they gladly gave us back our deposit all time wasted waiting for them to start on the job only to release they were no longer interested in doing the job for whatever reason we don't know. If they were not interested they should not have quoted, requested us to pay a deposit only to refund us after more than 2 weeks, possibly they wanted funds to push another project at our expense to pay us back when they got paid, this is not a trustworthy company to deal with. These are the kind of suppliers that will not finish your jobs, beware.

Not to be unfair, my windows were installed and look nice.

I don't think their problem is technical expertise, but management.

When they quoted they drew a picture of my current window configuration, but when they manifactured, they drew another picture that had one window missing from every frame, but never sent me that picture.
I didn't question it. They measured one window too small and then had to do a "fix" to correct the problem, yet this isn't what bothered me.

What angered me in the end was that although they know that the cavities between the wall and the frame need to be filled with foam filla, they just started covering the edges with creet stone.
Because the creet stone has nothing to press against it can easily develop a small hole and then insects collect in those vast gaps left by not filling.

When I questioned the labourer he confirmed that they do it for the developers, but never at private dwellings (I figure it is because the developers are aware of the complications caused).
I then asked him to fill the gaps and his response was that he forgot to take the filla from the truck before they left. I then went and bought filla from my own pocket and he did the job right.
He apparently did call the head office that confirmed that he should do the job, but never brought him the materials or gave me a call to say that it would cost more

What bothers me is that they cut corners that they know will cause problems for you later, but purposefully do not inform you to save a few bucks.
My warning to other buyers is check everything twice, ask for the drawings of what is going to be delivered, know the process before you buy and send it back if it isn't right
