Completely Unacceptable and Unprofessional Service!
My experience with Pine Timbers, Springfield Park has been absolutely unacceptable. As a first-time buyer for my company, I placed an order for timber valued at R963, yet when my father went to make payment, the cashier mixed up the orders and charged him R4,963 instead.
My father immediately questioned the cashier before making payment, pointing out that the order total was R963 and not R4,963, but she insisted that everything was correct on their side. It was not.
A few hours later, I noticed the overcharge through my business banking app and contacted the store. The response I received was unprofessional and dismissive, with no accountability or urgency. I provided all proof of payment and documentation for the refund immediately. Despite this, three days have now passed, and I still have not received my refund.
Because of Pine Timbers’ negligence, I’ve been unable to purchase other materials needed for my client’s project. As a result, I’ve had to personally pay my tiler and painter for the days they were booked but could not work — a direct financial loss caused entirely by their error.
When I visited the store in person again-yesterday, the HR/Manager was apologetic, but the Gentleman responsible for processing refunds showed no urgency or concern. To make matters worse, even my simple inquiry about whether my order was complete went unanswered — no one could confirm, and no one has followed up despite me asking them personally.
This experience has caused me financial loss, wasted time, and reputational damage with my client. Pine Timbers’ lack of professionalism, accountability, and urgency is deeply concerning for any business dealing with them.
I strongly advise anyone considering Pine Timbers Springfield Park to avoid them entirely. Their poor service, payment errors, and complete disregard for customers are unacceptable.
The inconvenience!
My father had to stop work and return there with the card despite me sending banking confirmation and ID.I had to pay my tiler and painter for the days booked. My client took days off so we could complete the project which we cant due to them holding our funds.I also had to take a day off from work to go there personally from Chatsworth to Springfield. Still no progress. My project is now on hold because I cannot pay my painter and tiler indefinitely without my other materials. My client is very upset. My business name is tarnished.
