This company would get a minus 10. Wish I did not have to rate. Beware of Petrus Arnoldus de Wet. Also goes by the name of Pieter. Changed Company name now to PI Contractors. I paid him R217 250 in Dec 2024 to secure building material at 2024 prices for my build in Jan 2025. First excuse was the delay due to rain. Then I was told projects were not completed end Dec 2024, hence the delay in my build. The next excuse was that he was trying to put a 2nd team together to get my build started. One excuse after the next to find out that my material was never purchased. I then asked for a portion of my money back to which I was again given excuse after excuse. I'm trying to get a loan from the bank. I am waiting for customers to pay deposits. Customers have cancelleddand and so it goes on. I was then told by Peter that I will be receiving a letter from his attorney regarding payment (I am still waiting) for this letter. Now I am told by Pieter that there is a sale going through and he will pay me some money. This has now been going on for 5 months and still no payment has been received. Pieter shows no remorse for what he has done to innocent customers that "TRUSTED" him. When I spoke to him in Dec regarding a bad review I saw I was told by Pieter that the customer was at fault and that I am in goods hands as he does not do business this way and will "NEVER" do people in. Well this is a first hand experience and I wish that I had never come across this company. Pieter De Wet is no example of a director and has no knowledge of dealing with clients. There are other clients that he also owes money to. He is also a person of interest with attorney Mike Bolhuis. "BE WARNED - DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH PI CONTRACTORS" The worst of all is that he has no guilt for taking pensioners money to benefit his personal pocket.

I wish I could give a minus to the above Company. I met with Pieter of P&L Contractors who stated that I had cost him customers because of my review and he then tried to blame the outsourced workman for the poor workmanship. However, he agreed that the shed was unacceptable and undertook to sign an Agreement to make good the repairs. Despite a date being stipulated he did not keep to his word and he advised my son that he has put his Company into liquidation. Of course, this doesn't mean that he won't open up another Company under a different name and I wish to warn the public not to deal with Pieter de Wet (I believe this is his name). He has no professional integrity. My son is now left to pay for the repairs to the shed. Should the sliding door that was not installed properly have fallen on my 4 year old grandson it could have been catastrophic.

Update on my last review. P.S if you buy from them ask to deal with Linda ONLY. I asked them for a COC for the electrical work. (I knew they couldn't give one because we had an electrician come out and his words were "I don't even want to touch this, it's bad"). They did not earth our house, used the wrong electrical cables for the house and did not put an isolator on the geyser. Pieter is arrogant and rude. Wants to argue and make you feel bad for not being happy by saying that people have cancelled orders blah blah blah. Then puts the phone down in your ear. Pieter if you want a really bad review then here it is. After the way you handled the situation yesterday I hope you keep your word and close the company so that others won't have to deal with this ****. My last review wasn't even nasty... it was truthful.

The worst experience ever. So we paid the material deposit in August last year to start building November, giving them 3 months to plan this. Pieter said all good will talk closer to the date. As we got closer to November everything was still good we will talk closer to the date. We packed our house, all our furniture went into storage and we left Cape Town thinking everything is in order. As the dates got closer he would not answer my calls, my husband (which works abroad) phone him, then he answered still making promises. When we were a week away from the date, everything changes. Struggle to get hold of him and when we did, he said it will only be in December. We still thought how will the workers work over Christmas. Starting to thing this sounds like a scheme we went to go see them at the offices. He confirmed that all is still according to plan. We have been staying in guest houses since we left which is a financial burden and inconvenience. He phoned us 2 days before the committed date and said sorry buy the guys are going home for Christmas. We then asked for a contract conforming the new date in January. Obviously not even that helped. So eventually the date was set for the first week in February, they started loading materials from the Tuesday, Saturday I asked when they will be coming, they rep**** that afternoon at 3pm they are loading the last material and will be leaving soon. Since it's only a 3 and half hour drive I thought by 10 o'clock that night they should have been here by now, phoned Pieter just to hear they haven't left yet. This being my last night in that guesthouse with no other guest house available I had to leave for Gauteng the next morning. I phone Ronny the Forman at 7am, he confirmed the are leaving at 10am and will be here by 4pm. By 5pm when I phoned him they were still on the way, by 10pm the same story he was still on his way. By time he should be in Cape Town since he is driving forever. They pitched here after 12 that night. I came back the following day, booked into guesthouses again. They started very quickly I was so impressed all went Fantastic, until nothing forms Parr of the quote, we were supposed to be quoted according to the plans submitted. So there is no back door or sliding door included. I phoned Pieter and he said we should have checked the quote. So I had to pay Ronny to get the doors, then the insulation we asked for was not quotes, the electrical cable was not part of the quote and so on. So the quote was meaningless. We will have to pay extra. Until we reached a point where we had to wait for funds to clear. Ronny then stopped all work and refused to work until final payment is released. The house was not done so final payment was not due and as per our contract we said we will release final payment after inspection. Pieter was missing in action, no one could get hold of him. Linda stepped in (Linda is great).she had to pay Ronny the final amount for him to continue with the project. Now he was paid in full, and dislikes me so he started intimidating me and being spiteful because he won't be told what to do. We had no choice in shower, lights ext all is decided by him and also the placement thereof, if you ask something its an issue and you get attitude same as Pieter. After the second day of being spiteful I asked them to leave site, he had every reason under the sun why he can't. He **** and said his bakkie's lights are not working. After Linda instructed him to leave he opened the bonnet and connected his lights. Ofcourse he had made sure I have no water or surige in the house this was his way of leaving when it suites him. The left and then you se how poor they work is, and how ***** they are, they stand and sit in front of all the faults so you don't pick it up. The toilet was cracked and chipped which they put cardboard over for me not to see, when they left it was filled with filler! The DB board was drilled right trough the outside nutec boards with *****s sticking out. The sliding doors size was off so it was forced in resulting in the upright being bend and the wood splitted. The one wall the drywall sagged in, window frames are *****. So this is what you get for your money. We have spent R180 000 on living expenses and storage and since our commited first date. And we ate still liable for full payment.

We had a log home recently built and it does look really good... until you look closer. The building itself is great but their work is sloppy... walls are painted half **** and are dirty. Wood varnish from the floors is on the walls and door. Shower isnt sealed and water leaks onto the wooden floors which also dont look anything like the photos. Originally they put in a sliding door that doesn't lock from the outside. You send messages and get ignored for who knows how long. They are very quick to get a hold of you when it's time for money to be paid but when you have questions then they read your message and reply a day or 2 later... sometimes not at all. Linda was very friendly the whole time! She should speak to customers always! Charged alot to paint to the roof. I also want to earn that for 4 hours work!! All these things aren't an issue if you are getting a 2nd hand house, not a brand new built house. It feels like buying a brand new car and finding out you have to fix oil leaks and that it doesn't come with keys??? Overall experience is mediocre in terms of work and customer service

I am extremely happy I was taken for a fool by someone else and the P and l team came to fix everything I needed them to do for me I will most definitely recommend them to someone else again thanks for the professional work that was done all the way from Potchefstroom

My son was overseas and had tasked me to find a 'reputable' Garden Shed contractor. I contacted P&L Contractors and my son decided to have them build his garden shed. He duly accepted the quotation and paid and the shed was installed. However, their finishing is appalling and despite repeated attempts for them to come and inspect the poor quality of the workmanship I am still awaiting a definite response from them. These are the following defects (I have the photographs to prove them): The Fascia board has not been centered There is gap between the wall and the roof The grey painted walls are badly painted The lock on the sliding door doesn't work There is a bottom strut that is sticking out further then the wall and could be a tripping hazard I believe that for the money my son paid, these problems should be addressed immediately.

This is an absolute please to use this Company. I got my quote within 15 minutes. Linda is an absolute star. They were ready to set up within 4 days, it is out of this world. They were so professional. The onsite team were just as professional as the office staff. I requested a change on the door, and they did it without any extra charge. Pieter phoned me and assist me within seconds. Compliments to management and staff. Wow wow wow!!!!@ the best of the best! Thank you once again!!!
